Teaser for series 5, looks like Tyreese and Carol might be inadvertently leading a large group of walkers towards Terminus.

Terminus never seemed to me to be the most secure / guarded location.

Anyone read the comics and is it worth continuing with?

Seriously bored of it and thinking of ditching it and not continuing to watch.

It just never changes, they don't really go anywhere and fearful the Terminus is just another Governor situation - good v bad, less zombies as it goes on, more psychology and less actual 'stuff' happening only for a few good to die, but they overcome the bad, leave the place, move on rinse and repeat.

I've really enjoyed it, but the ending of the last series did leave me with a 'not really bothered' attitude.

Agreed. The last 6 episodes were very dull - nothing happened - have they run out of plot?

It doesn't really follow the comics...though an important casting this year may take it closer to.

Some events happened but it was all far to drawn out.

I think the worst of the series is still season 2 - but the ones after weren't too much better, always bordering on, and slipping into soap opera too much of the time to be deserving of repeat viewing.

Which is why I only own, and will only ever own season 1.

Dallas has less soap opera than the later seasons!

what happened with that first director? I assume he fell out with the producers?

Exactly. I said it when the last series ended, it's going to end up like Lost. Every episode is drawn out far too much.

I'm not going to watch series 5, for the same reason I haven't watched series 3 of Homeland. I want to see how long they both get before watching any more. BOTH should have finished by this point.

But is there going to be a series 4? If it concluded at the end of series 3, I'll watch it.

Sorry to de-rail the thread.

Looks like the series went from 6 to 13 episodes, and then to 16!
8 - 10 episodes seems the right length for this show.

I don't understand the need to change writer and director every episode. Even Game of Thrones that changes them has directors doing 2 in a row (and less in total) and the writers staying the same except when GRR himself writes one, and then they only use 5 writers including Benioff & Weiss.

Cost. It's a lot cheaper to hire freelance writers on a per episode basis, than have an entire full time writing team.

I bet they have fail-safe / backup writers for when GRR says he's going to pen an episode wink

GoT is a bit special when it comes to writers, D&D do the vast majority, GRR does one a series, and sometimes Cogman does some, and a woman has done one episode.

Just finished this.

Pretty much echos what everyone else is saying, good series one, dull s2, I enjoyed s3 but s4 just got really slow towards the end and the final was just strange. For such strong survivors they make some pretty piss poor decisions.

Will still watch S5 though.

Best season yet? Erm, well that shouldn't be hard.
