Watched them all now.
I absolutely love this, seen a different side to Stannis, and the story is ace, you can see how it's a co-Canal production. Reminds me of Spiral. Love how it's half and half English/French.
I think it's one of the best things Sky have made. I hope Sky have more planned, love the two leads.

The story is nothing to do with Canal. It's an almost word for word remake of the Bridge, a Scandinavian show

Plus I'm annoyed now as last nights episode had a glaring error at the end! Sloppy cheap production!

Did you notice the wife of the murdered French cop is the (anti)heroine of Spiral? My she looks like she's aged!

I didn't!
I have just been watching The Returned though and noticed the rat faced cop is one of the bad guys from BRaquo. biggrin

I know. I watched the Bridge and loved it. It was much, much better than this effort, even though it comes in subtitles. And it is almost word for word the same, with the same scenes played out, albeit in a different location.

This isn't bad, but the Nordic original had more pace and tension. And the characters were more compelling.

What glaring error? That no one else on the interweb seems to have noticed.

I didn't notice anything either.

The Range Rover changed from a new one to an old one. It was really obvious to me but now I might have been the only one it seems!

The second series of Broen|Bron finished this week (I've been watching it using Google translated subtitles, which is interesting) and it was brilliant. I think that starts on BBC4 after Borgen finishes.

I can't remember which but not so long ago they did exactly the same thing in another programme - swapped an L322 for a P38 when it was time to blow it up!

I was wondering why a SAAB that, iirc, has to be parked and un-keyed in reverse should lurch forward into her car when the creepy dimwit parking champion started the car. Unless it was a deliberate letch lurch.

Yeah I wondered that too. I'm getting a bit bored with this series to be honest, neither of the police characters are particularly engaging and no obvious suspects yet (as far as I am aware).

Deliberate, the actor (can't remember his name) is more than just a minor role actor. Been in big series like True Blood and Sleepy Hollow recently.

Actually I did notice that, but didn't think anything of it or thought maybe I was going mad and got my Range Rovers wrong.

Are there many episodes left? TT said to Range Rover guy he was going to out himself and there was a suspect found by the two coppers, a French ex copper. Quite how they hadn't managed to look at recent Channel crossing records to see what names come up as crossing nearly as much as theirs, that would be quite obvious you would think.

I presume there will be 10 episodes as that's how many there were in the original.

I'm enjoying it still, it's good fun. But then again I'm a big fan of both leads smile

It is certainly not the best thing Sky have ever made its good for sure.

24
Sopranos
The Wire
The Following
Boardwalk Empire
Blue blood
NICS

The list could go on and on but its not better than any of the above IMHO.

I presume this is a list of shows that Sky did not make.
