Anyone watch this?
New 2nd series started of Armando Ianucci's US equivalent of 'The Thick of It' - Nearly as sweary, very clever & very funny.
First series was excellent

Veep is brilliant. It's witty and well scripted and it's always good hearing JLD say fk a lot. biggrin

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I've been catching up on iTunes. It's a strange mix of The West Wing and The Thick of It but so far I'm really enjoying it.

Series three was fab. Funny, sweary, topical, and Julia-Louis Dreyfus is hotter than hot.

Just a heads-up - all 10 episodes of series 4 are on Sky Catch Up.

I know it's due to start on Sky Atlantic soon but was surprised that it was all available ahead of being shown.

Currently up to episode 6 and the standard is as high as ever. Hugh Laurie joins the cast!

Yep, series 4 was great. Hugh Laurie and Patton Oswald definitely strong additions. Sam Richardson as Richard is also very funny.

Just watched the 1st episode of series 4 and it was pure class. Difficult to find anything of its genre that's better.

I've been buying these on iTunes but season 4 still isn't there. BitTorrent would take me 2 mins...

Got carried away and watched 5 episodes of series 4. Fairly good. Nicely developing the characters and side stories.

I watched the whole series in one afternoon and now I've got nothing left to look forward to until the next series. Excellent viewing and good to see House back.

Just downloaded the lot. Going to smash through them over the coming month as I'm stuck overseas with work.

I hadn't realised that season five was starting on Monday, so Heads Up to anyone else who'd missed the news...

Calls of voter fraud in Veep, calls of voter fraud in the Democratic primaries.

It's like real life imitating comedy, or is that comedy imitating more comedy?

Hilarious (and topical given all the bands that have told Trump to stop playing their music) exchange between Richard and Jonah;

Richard: Tom Petty says we can't use "Won't Back Down" anymore.

Jonah: Okay, well, fk him if he thinks I'm gonna back down. That's, like, the whole point of the song.

Jonah: We got the okay from Gary Glitter, but he's in jail for child rape, so maybe not the first choice.
