Looking forward to this.

Also unrelated but equally silly - new series of Friday Night Dinner starts soon (22nd I think)

Apart from a couple of scenes, splinter in the face and fox in the skip, it was a disappointment.

Hopefully it will get back on track next episode.

I thought it was great for a series opener - jelly bean American Beauty skit and the apearence of Baldrick.

Interesting as both myself and the wife thought it was a disappointment.

I thought episode 2 was better, or at least more consistently funny.

Hmmmmm. It is a bit....disappointing, isn't it, this series?

I loved the other ones, but this series is reminding me more and more of Greg Davies in that Cuckoo that he also did, which I never really gelled with.

It's lost it's edgy, 'Pythonesque' silliness. Ok I know we can't have Rik Mayall's absurd character in it anymore, but the other characters have also gone a bit more straight. Plus we need more of the cafe owner screaming abuse too biggrinbiggrin

I'll watch until the end though, I hope it picks up.

Superb episode last night!

So many lines (like Partridge, requires many watches to catch them all), but the "you'll miss me?" bit was awesome - "This is my normal face. This is the face I'll have if I find out your plane's crashed. It's the same face."
