I'm abivalent on the comedy of it, but love seeing him driving the Acclaim from almost the rear seats, with added nonchalence.

The recent birthday cake episode was brilliant. The whole second half was just a manic flow of comedy capers thumbup

Slowly getting more and more bonkers.

I'm not a fan. Thought it was alright but turned it off last night right after the running club trainer guy (Ferdy from This Life?) did the Ashley Schaeffer from East Bound & Down dick slap and brought this to mind: http://youtu.be/D_nKi4aeWjc?t=7s

No way back after that for me.

Can't understand why this is on at prime time on Friday nights and already has a second series and Toast of London seems to be tucked away on Sundays.

Don't 'get' Toast, but last night had us both laughing. Very odd, but once you get used to it, funny. He was good on Graham Norton later as well.

Great news. Even the wife finds it funny and that's a true yardstick for any tv based comedy. I'm not sure I got the IT crowd when it started but look where that ended up, this has slowly been building in a similar vein. It's very good.

Toast is funny, but it can be too much like hard work tbh. Especially on a sunday night.

The bit last week about the old woman pushing a trolley of soil around shouting 'coco dust' had me in tears.

Our resident nutter where I grew up was a bloke that used to spend much of his day sitting in the town centre in his pants. He always had a really good tan, even in the depths of winter.

I saw the first one of these. Does it get better because I thought that was awful.

I remember Gregg telling a very similar story in his standup about his own dad... was even better seeing Rik doing the actions (Love the line about ginger birds too!)

I was made to watch some of this as the wife knows someone in it.

I like Greg, but it was bloody awful, awful.

I've lurched between 'this is awful and wierd' to 'this is genius and Python-esque' over the last few episodes. And I always like to give a new comedy series a decent bit of time / innings to have a chance to 'grab' me.

After four episodes though - I have now landed in the 'this is genius and Python-esque' camp.

Yep - it's a little strange and I guess might come across to a first-time observer as strange and not at all funny...

But after a bit of time, I see the genius and hidden comedy in it. I get it for what it's supposed to be, and I like very much.

'Egg Circus'.....a plate of eggs chucked down with an accompaniment of 'did-did-diddle-lid-did-did-did-dee-duh...'

Genius biggrin
