Sounds good. I look forward to that.
I've always wanted to travel on the Rocky Mountain train in Canada. The one with the domed observation car. I've done it on Greyhound buses, but nothing quite beats the train. When I was a kid we went on the Orient Express from Istanbul to Paris. It wasn't the luxury train at the time, just a regular sleeper service.

Resurrecting this thread to mention that Great American Railroad Journeys is on BBC2 this week (started Monday).http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/b06zzdn3
Having visited New York back in 2009, I found the first 2 episodes interesting.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the series. Back in 1992 after University, I spent a summer travelling around the USA with many of the long journeys taken on Amtrak. I've not seen ep4 yet but I think it follows the same route that we took on our first train ride from NY to Toronto, via Hudson and Buffalo.

Rather enjoyed last night's episode, even if there wasn't much "train" and lots of "other" going on, but then I really can't ever be a bad piece of scenery in Switzerland.
I've not watched last night's yet but that was one thing I did not care for with the first series; i.e. too much other stuff and not much train. With the UK one's it's very train based.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
