Tough call.

Right call.

Luke had a bit more finesse.

Right choice but a bit sad to see Petrus go, what a nice guy.

ETA they seem to reduced Gregg's role and increased Monica's so far. No bad thing.

Fantastic decision (about less Greg that is) makes sense, I can't take him seriously against what is a professional competition.

Sad to see Petrus go :-( but the right two went through so it was fair.

Oh and William Sitwell (specky judge) had always been a total .

Mmuch prefer Jay Rayner.

That judge is a proper blend.

This. His input is usually nothing more than saying "laaavley and creamaaay". Though I have noticed recently he has tried to appear a bit more critical, perhaps to give the impression he isn't just a gurning rent-a-mug. Monica is far more qualified and charismatic.

We commented on this last night as well that no Greg after the first rounds so far.

Shame Petrus has gone though but it was the right decision I think

He does at least look like he goes out tasting food for a living, not like some of the thin-as-a-rake brigade they have on judging.

Say what you like about Monica and her gurning, but by god she knows hers stuff.

That desert was awesome.

Interesting, apart from the cheesy potato with mackerel, no real cock-ups.

Didn't she moan the previous week about a biscuit being in sauce and going soggy, yet did the same herself this week?

Whilst sitting watching last night's episode we too made the comment that if it had been one of the contestants offering that up then she would have complained that the biscuit was going soggy in the sauce.

We said the same.
