I'm really looking forward to the documentary about the N3200. It's going to be very emotional.

Thing is no one even bothers with road racing outside the TT if they did they would have realised that Martin won at the lesser known southern 100 breaking the lap record and smoked everyone in the ulster gp flagship race I'd say he was pretty successful tbh. I will say over the distances on the TT the suzook can't really match the others. That said anyone who calls him gash is a fking idiot. I do hope he wins one so a) it silences the critics b) because I so badly want him to win one!

If racing was allowed to take place on proper roads on the island of Great Britain it may be more popular.

GB has quite a few islands iirc? confused

And isn't the NW 200 held in Northern Ireland, which is essentially part of GB?

Oliver's Mount Scarborough was on the mainland of England last time I looked unless they've had a some bad coastal erosion last winter.

He's won the Scarborough Gold Cup on 7 consecutive occasions.

Also as someone has already said he won the Scarborough gold cup 7 years on the trot. Check a map for the location or actually go to the cock of the north meet where you can watch them.

That's the 2013 events At Scarborough.

Isn't it the United Kingdom of Great Britain AND Northern Ireland. As a result NW200 would take place in the United Kingdom but not in Great Britain, no?

[quote=dazzztay]I cant stand him! Defo one not to watch.

He is a character but very false and fake.

He hates the attention and publicity yet courts the TV stations with programme after programme. Turns up late to meetings and expects the world to bow down to him. Spits his dummy when things go wrong.

Just a lorry mechanic - not fussed about the PR, lifestyle and bullst like the others - yet drives a Aston.

I just wish he was honest and dropped the persona!![/quot

You are not allowed to have an opinion! How dare you come on a public forum and say something different than all the other people.
Totally agree with you by the way, just something I don't like about the bloke, can't put my finger on it,he just seems false.

I've been down it on normal skis from about halfway - it is steep, and you go scarily fast.

I believe anyone over 15 can hire the full speed skiing gear and do it from the top if they are mad enough - the crazy French! I recall reading it is 70 degrees steep at the top, although could have got that wrong as not too far off vertical.
I have done this - you sign your life away and they give you a helmet and 247 skis with ludicrous bindings (DIN 28-40). You pay per run and each time they let you go a little higher, checking your technique is good and giving you pointers etc. I believe it is 47 degrees at the top.
