It sounds just like me playing quake or half life and reloading twenty times to get past a tricky bit where I keep dying but then eventually learn to sneak round the side.
But then when you turn off the console/PC you're still in your pants at your mums house.

Just got back from seeing it, really enjoyed it.

Your loss, Cineworld's gain wink

Great film, ruined in the last 30 seconds.

Found and enjoyed the book: terrific ideas behind it and some nice plot moves. Not convinced by the trailers, though, so may give the film a miss until DVD.

I saw it last night and loved it. A friend did some of the stunts so it was great to see what she'd been up to last year but I would have loved it even without that. I actually wasn't sure on it at first but it was always going to be a must see due to my friend but it was loads better than my perceptions of it from the trailers. People that have posted that they think it looks yawnsome/boring couldn't be more wrong!

I would ask any of the naysayers to go watch it, especially Mr Cineworld card holder. It doesn't assume you're thick as st when doing the 'rewind' bits and actually assumes some element of sense and intelligence in the audience by not explaining every damn thing as some time travel films do. I really enjoyed it. As good as X-men DoFP anyway and better than Godzilla by a fair bit. Cruise is really good, you can see the changes he goes through, Paxton is great and Emily is lovely as always. 8/10.

Do we know if TC tried to woo our Emily? he normally has a crack at his female co-stars...
Seeing the film this weekend smile

I really enjoyed it too, reminded me a lot of the 90s mid-budget action films that we’ve been missing over the past few years with a decent amount of action, doesn’t assume the audience is stupid and some humour thrown in to boot. Certainty up there with the best films I’ve seen this year and I’m struggling to think of many better action films from the past 10 years.
I agree with the spoiler above and thought the bits where he spoke to his squad again were a bit strange, but I guess his relationship with the squad members is a bit more fleshed out in the books (and maybe the cutting room floor).

I really enjoyed this one, great special effects and based in Europe instead of yet another US city.

Tom Cruise acted well with good supporting characters and I wasn't bored through any of it.

The end sadly was just terrible as mentioned above, no need for it...

Well worth a trip to the big screen , I saw it in 2D and can't imaging 3D adds anything to it.

Just back from seeing this.

I can't stop thinking about it. Yeah, it's replaying in my mind. I need to see it again. I really enjoyed this one which I'm glad about. I had high hopes and it delivered.

Last scene though was a bit...

Went to see this yesterday. Thoroughly enjoyed it but the very end was questionable (and unnecessary) and at one point I did think I was watching a scene from The Matrix Revolutions prior to that. I'd watch it again though.

I wasn't going to see this as I have been soooo disappointed by all the other humans vs aliens films set on present day Earth but a guy I was working with yesterday who is a bit of a film buff convinced me to go.

Just back, took my boy and at last! a good one. Really enjoyed it and all the London bits looked great especially Heathrow. Fantastic beach invasion a la Private Ryan.

Only bad thing I can think of was being forced to watch it in 3D as there were no 2D showings.

Everyone always seems to bad mouth Tom but thinking about it, I don't think I have seen a film of his that I haven't enjoyed including Jack Reacher.

I saw it & loved it. Felt a bit fleeced at the price of IMAX though, it was almost double the price of a normal ticket and the screen wasn't that large.

Just got back from seeing it. Great film, really glad to throw money at an original Sci Fi film. Some of the characters were a bit one dimensional, but I thought it was excellent.

Another +1 from me

Like most of Tom Cruises films (minority report, oblivion, Valkyrie, war of the worlds and so on and so forth) it's very entertaining - well shot, decently acted, decent story, good pacing, good visuals, etc, etc.

It's one of those films I'm going to end up watching multiple times and still find myself enjoying it

8/10

Very good - thoroughly enjoyed it - 7/10.

Last 1/3rd is a bit crap but first 2/3rds is very very good.

The rolling under the truck bit was comedy gold.

Nearly went to see it again yesterday but something came up.

I did leave the cinema after watching T2, Judgement Day, called a mate to tell him to get here quick, bought two tickets and went straight back in to watch it again.

Watched Prometheus twice as I could not believe how bad it was and thought I must of been tired, depressed, whatever. It was just as bad the second time, in fact worse.

Anyhow here is a nice little look at/making of the film with Tom and the beautiful Emily cloud9
