I've higher hopes for this evening's episode, part one had its good bits but the low-rider dross, and over-long waffle while on board the presenter bloke's RV, seemed like a distinct waste of airtime.

Fingers crossed for tonight's offering smile

Me too. I loved seeing Rusty's face gleaming when Idris was making the right notes on the Camry (which is actually a Chevy V8 pushrod).
Fraid not. Its a Toyota engine that they had to have in production to be elidgable for NASCAR, as the regs are for a pushrod v8 biggrin
(or at least they used to be, and a quick google says Toyota)

Not quite. It's a TRD engine that they designed specifically for NASCAR, but it is a pushrod V8. Here's a nice article about it. A bit out of date but it should still stand.

Not heard of this previously, watching the second one now. I think I like Idris even more now.

It was launched in 1980 as the Austin Mini Metro.

I am not arguing over this.

A 6R4 has virtually nothing in common with the 2 cars pictured let alone a Mini....tongue out

MG Metro 6R4,not Mini Metro 6R4.....smile

Idris is like a little puppy. Not sure he knows what's going on and doesn't necessarily grasp the subject but he is enthusiastic, keen and overall enjoyable to watch.

Must admit, I'm enjoying this one more than yesterday. It's an entertaining watch.
