It is definitely not as funny as before.

Only laughs are at my own immaturity, sniggering at the "your mum" type jokes hidden in the quickfire ranting.

Contrast and compare with TV Offal from 1998 - Victor Lewis-Smith doing something almost identical (albeit not essentially topical)...

HOWEVER - at least this week we had much more of Brooker, and fewer of the rather annoying other contributors.

For that reason, it was a more solid episode than the previous ones.

But yes - Stanhope needs to come back, I loved his style biggrin

Benylin Thundercrack.

Aside from wasting nearly half the show with an Eastenders wk-a-thon, last nights was a good epsiode IMO.

I quite enjoyed the Dot Cotton cut away

"You Cant"

Agreed, was decent and sharp as always.

I think the Brand character is slightly better than the other one she does (the kid V-Blogger), but that not saying much. It is quite a good send up of him, although the only funny part last night was at the end where Brand criticised his out of shot PA for the coffee being cold.

And to a lesser extent 'In bed with medinner' with Bob Mills - I used to love getting back from the pub and watching that.

I think Stanhope fell out with the production people because they messed him about when filming some of the segments of his live show. Perhaps why he's not on anymore.

On the strength of his appearances on WW I watched a couple of his stand up shows. Poor, and seemingly horribly offensive for the sake of being horribly offensive.

Reminded me of Frankie Boyle, but more offensive and less funny (didn't realise it was possible).

Was really disappointed frown

Wow - at last, another fan! Me and a mate at work used to love watching this, but it seemed like we were the only people who did, and ever since I've not found anyone else who had even heard of it!

A great cult show, wish he'd bring it back biggrin

Some of his stand up bits are excellent but some really aren't. I would love to see him live though and I listen to his podcast a lot.
