Total farce, if it's all about the business idea, then why the competition. They should be doing the checking up on the plan right from the off, then have the battles to win. How on earth was Roisin an accountant? how did she miss running out of money after 2 months. Knobjockey
Numbers aside, how the hell did she miss the fact that the "unique" product was already in the market? She really got her arse handed to her. Perfect example of soneone who is extremely bright, but has NO clue at all about business. Bet she'll try and suck back her old job.

I could be wrong but it could be something like when she applied for the process it wasn't on the market.. Perfect example of soneone who is extremely bright, but has NO clue at all about business. Bet she'll try and suck back her old job.

The whole thing is absurd, it's a poor game show, pretending to possess gravitas by calling itself a process. 11 weeks of pointless poncing around weeding out the chancers only for the best of the lot to be thrown out at the 11th hour because of a crappy business plan that could & should have been examined in week one. She was strung along for weeks with never a hope at the end of it.
Precisely my thoughts. They might as well pick the finalists by getting them to complete the Total Wipeout course! Abagnale said:
-Give me a phone call.
-I'm too busy for this call.
Why ask for a phone call then?
Exactly -I'm too busy for this call.
Why ask for a phone call then?
- OK, I thought we had agreed a slot for the call but never mind, if you're busy then let's do it at a time to suit you.
- Right... now, can I confirm we've got 15 mins for this call?

Peter Jones invested.

Ah well, not likely to be that then! I wonder if she just had a quick google....
Still, all she had to say was something like "Ok, it's not unique but they will have confirmed there is a market for the product for us to exploit, and just one competitor is good news"

If she'd done her homework she could have responded with "It's good enough for Peter Jones!"I wonder if she just had a quick google....

I see today that Nic has decided to quit.
The series has deteriorated since about year 2, but since the prize switched from apprentice to business partner the process of reaching the final has become pointless.
The Dara programme on BBC2 is the more interesting viewing, by far.
It still astounds me that each year new candidates seem to learn nothing from previous years failings.

The prizes this year really have been crap. I bet the loosing team haven't really cared that they didn't go on them. (Unless they got fired)
Quite. One week it was relaxing in the hot spas of Reykjavik, the next week was tapping a few footballs past a very large David Seaman!Oakey said:
She went in there saying there was nothing else like it in the market and nobody was using that ingredient, it matters because that clearly isn't true and she obviously hasn't done her homework. Not exactly a great start when you're trying to propose a business plan to someone.
That and as an accountant from a leading firm she failed to notice that she burned Lord Suggsie's quarter of a mill in just two months! Come on... Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
