I felt a little flat at the ending. It was a great series but the ending just felt a bit odd. I think it might be that I had such high expectations but it didnt give me what I wanted. Im looking forward to watching it on blue ray when it comes out, without the fking adverts ruining the flow.

Id happily pay extra to sky to watch without adverts

Very good, but certainly not the 5 star (emperor's clothes) reviews that it got in the US.

Can't go wrong with T-Bone Burnett.

The guy is brilliant.

Hey, Steve, do I strike you as more of a talker or a doer?

That was as the sniper shop the sheriff's car.

Now that was cool.

Excellent series. Only criticism is that I need subtitles.

Utterly brilliant, best new show this year. Best cop show I've seen for some time.
Good ending, meeting the main chap years before was a killer. The relationship 'twixt the two leads is the best I've seen since the Tyrion/Bronn double act.
Music was sublime, the opening ditty is haunting. Still think that is Tommy Lee Jones every time. biggrin
Not sure if they can follow this up, but we shall see.

edit.

This entirely, I found the show utterly absorbing; the acting was deep and soulful, the dialogue was superb throughout, the relationship between Rust and Marty was intense and engaging, the cinematography was terrific as was the music. Both leads delivered amazing performances; in particular, I thought that MM sank into the role without trace.

Awesome show, acting, screenplay, script, filming all superb. Finale was as good especially as it had alot to live up to form previous episodes. I don't think I've seen a more grittu sinister police thriller ever.

I hope Mcconnaughey and Harrelson renew and we don't get Pitt or Depp in the next series.

5 star works for me. Best since Breaking Bad.

Didn't see any ads, and would have gone mad if I had.

I will buy the DVD when it's released, as I enjoyed every second of this, and I wouldn't mind watching it all again - one of my top three 'best of the best' shows of late (the other two being Boardwalk Empire and, of course, GoT)

Everything indicates you will be at least partially disappointed. To be honest it would be a lesser show if they did renew it with them. I like the fact that it was quite real. Having it happen to the same characters again would spoil it for me.

I do think there are better actors they could pick though I was also unsure of these two at the start, McConnaughey especially so.

The guy that one the Oscar?

He's really worked hard and he's come on leaps and bounds.

Yes he won an Oscar. He has also starred in some terrible films. He was a revelation in this and several of his recent parts.

My point was that before this he didn't come across as the best actor. Someone else could do the same possibly.

MM was obviously a very good actor who chose st parts early in his career, since Mud he has been excellent.

A brilliant series.

The ending had been criticised a bit, but I thought it was suitably gritty and at least had finality, although the two characters making up somewhat was perhaps a bit too pretty and neat.

But again the best thing on TV since breaking bad

What a fantastic series that was. I loved the different setting and the rapport between the 2 main characters.

Music, acting all superb.

Sounds like the 2nd series wasn't planned? Lot's of open ideas. Be a hard act to follow
