Hadn't got a clue who that was, I was Taylor was the woman sheriff until the end.
I recognise her sister from somewhere, and nice actor for her dad. Vaughn is excellent. Still hearing the trailer line, 'maybe the worst of you, is the best of you.'
I have a feeling about him though. Or I've watched too much noir.

Without resorting to the net for help I thought the sister might be the actress with the Russian sounding name from Banshee. The dad used to be in a hospital drama years ago, has played a lot of bad guys and was Jodie Foster's father at the end of Contact.
Lady sheriff is Rachel McAdams who normally plays much lighter roles.
Will now go and check if I am right.

Can't say I'm impressed with episode 1. Trying far too hard to be as cool as season 1 and ended up coming across like a parody with generic characters and plot we've seen a thousand times before. And WTF is going on with that theme song?

Am I the only one that didn't particularly enjoy S1?
S2 looks like a big improvement already.
Yes you are, and no it doesn't. S2 looks like a big improvement already.
Did anyone else get a "Grand Theft Auto 5" feeling at some of the aerial shots, and the "Kifflom" centre?
The first episode of any series is always an introduction to the characters so I'll give it a chance. It's a bit of a shame this series is filmed in California as part of the attraction of the first series was that it wasn't based in Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas or any of the normal settings for TV programmes or films.

Yep! I was thinking GTA5.
One of the shots at the end, when they find the body, reminded me of the area in the game way outside the city and you can see the lights along the coast in the distance.
Best seen when you steal a jet from the airport
I do like the freeway shots, I must admit.

Yeah, the bleakness of Louisiana was a huge part of the first season. The first episode of any series is always an introduction to the characters so I'll give it a chance. I take we all saw who the 2 executive producers of Series 2 are?
Yea... but that means bugger all. Take some cash, put your name to it. Spielberg does it all the time. The clue is in 'executive'... read: no hands on work. More important is that it is written by the same bloke.Edited by GetCarter on Wednesday 24th June 13:27
