I was watching it last night and realised just how bored I was. I'm out

I had the same realisation. Feel like I've seen it all before. I will keep going now though. At least the usual scenario of the main bad guy in the first 12 hours turning out to be a small fish won't happen in this series - it's only 12 hours long.

It's not just me then.

24 was great when it began something new and differentm, but things have moved on. This show hasn't.
The production design is poor as are the effects. It really looks like a budget effort. With it only being 12 episodes I thought they would have removed the pointless "everyone's a baddy" subplots that padded out the other seasons. No they are all present and correct.

The worst part? As someone who spends a great deal of time in London the logistics are ridiculous. Yes I know it's a TV show, but the idea that you can get from East London to Ealing in 45 minutes with time for several meetings inbetween is laughable, as is a car racing a tube train to the next station at any time day or night....
And when was the last time a bus in Central London in the middle of the day travelled fast enough to run someone over and leave them in critical condition? Oh and if you take off from the heliport and fly up the Thames with st George's tower on your right you're going to end up at Greenwich not wembley. Christ, they even flew towards tower bridge! I realise none of that will matter to those that don't know the city very well.

The final nail in the coffin is the way the government / law enforcement is portrayed: always ready to let the Americans do whatever they want regardless of the collateral damage. I know our leaders aren't the sharpest tools in the box, but the idea that if the Americans lost 6 drones over London we'd let them sort it out themselves pushes credibility too far.

Apart from all that it's not too bad.

Yup, same here, settle down to watch it last night, the 'previously on 24' bit at the start made me realise I'd missed a fair chunk of previous episode but couldn't be arsed going back to it.

Kate Morgan is the highlight, was also Dexter's missus in the last series of that.

Well I really enjoyed this evenings episode. It is without doubt a bit 'try too hard' in places and the portrayal of London's geography will only irk those of us that know and notice.

But I enjoy it. Can't do the spoiler cover thing so I won't spoil things, but 'kin 'ell!

I thought last night's episode was probably the best so far - really enjoyed it.

To be honest not too bothered with the geography thing they did the same in the previous series.
It's just an hour (45 minutes?) of escapism where I can switch my brain off for a bit.

Yeah seems to be picking up a bit now. Are we only getting 12 episodes?

The promo for episode 11 for anyone that is interested.

Looks like Jack got away from the Russians and Audrey's husband gets his comeuppance. I guess the last 2 episodes focus on Jack retrieving the device from Chang and stopping World War 3 (and trying to save Chloe) - all in a days work for Jack.

I miss Jack's PDA - it was well before it's time and could do just about anything.

Still love the fact that the CIA can get to ANY spot in London quicker than the police, army or MI5. Even when massive gunfights are occurring in front of the public hehe
