Took a few minutes to get into Vic & Bob 'mode' but once settled in I loved it! A modern day Young Ones?
Pretty much this. I grew up on Vic and Bob and the Young Ones and it ticks all of those surreal daft humour boxes. I can understand the marmite effect with this show. I love it and know others who hate it. Not much middle ground. maddog993 said:
It's reassuring & important that the BBC will still commission stuff like this.
Vic & Bob have definitely still got it! (along with what's got to be one of best comedic supporting casts I've seen- Matt Berry is surely going to be huge soon, after this and 'Toast of London')
If you like Matt Berry you should watch Snuffbox, a series from a few years ago he did with Rich Fulcher, possibly the funniest show ever. Just brilliant.Vic & Bob have definitely still got it! I got it for a few quid from Amazon, you may be able to watch it online.

Cheers, I'll check that out.Matt Berry does seem phenomenally talented - noticed he's also touring with his band The Maypoles & on looking into this 'other' career further, turns out he has written the music for many of the series he's been in (& for Steve Coogan's Saxondale)
Vic and Bob are a very eclectic taste.
I noted they were replaying The Smell Of Reeves and Mortimer so put that on to record. Boy, they look young in that. Back in the 90s, i thought it was hilarious - basically a lot of random stuff thrown together to form a theatrical comedy of the absurd. However, I only got two episodes in and couldn't take it any more, it only worked once.
Another vote for Matt Berry - head and shoulders above the rest of the cast IMHO.
