It was a hell of a lot better than Prometheus.

Enjoyed this flick, but admit I did have to check a few facts regarding how it ended as I am not ashamed to say I was a tad baffled. silly

I loved it and will certainly be picking up the Blu Ray to watch it again at home!

I watched it again last week, even with sound turned up on the telly I couldn't understand what Micheal Caine was mumbling on his death bed.

Cracking film though, left me totally baffled though with the time speeding up on the water planet. I've googled it loads and it still makes absolutely no sense to me spin

Wasn't that intentional by Nolan as a few people asked him about it? I guess he could have adjusted the levels to make it audible if he'd have wanted.

I found that with a few films once I'd gone flatscreen but a soundbar improved things a lot

Yes, that's my understanding of it.

He's only mumbling the same old poem for like the third time in the film. smile

I watched this on a flight last week. Really enjoyed it thankfully as it kept me going through the final hours.

Damning with faint praise?

It certainly didn't make roll my eyes at the screen anywhere near as much as Prometheus but it was still all over the place IMHO.

Just watched the Blu-ray, with subtitles on, so no mumbling issues.

7/10...cos it had a Dyson Sphere but it would have been 9/10 if it only had Burke, (Paul Reiser), walking into the hospital ward carrying a ginger cat, when Coop woke up.

Watched Interstellar on my small 42" TV and have to say I loved it. The robots just made the film IMHO.

Just wished I had gone to the IMAX now!

Just watched this on Amazon. Really enjoyed it and all the effort Nolan put into this.

Clever little twist he's put into this as well on the whole concept of time - claimed running time is just under 3hours, started watching just after 10pm .... but it's only just finished now ....some 4 hours later by my clock. Sheer genius....

Usually when people start threads about movies the title would be "Tom Cruise - Oblivion" etc but it show you how much McConaughney isn't an true A lister but should be as the director is in the title.

I thought it was a great movie.
My only gripe was the indifference the rest of the family showed towards him when he visited his daughter in hospital. I know he had to do things but still.

I like all movies he's in. Great actor.

Yeah, that was a tad off...he's your Grandfather ffs!! And a time traveller!

MM has certainly become a decent actor in the past 20 years.

I watched this on the airplane from the US to Germany, after leaving my family behind for 6 months. That aspect made the movie particularly poignant. Although I am pretty sure I will get back to my 6yr old daughter before she turns 120something.

Have you seen True Detective?

I would say he is one of the best in the business, and I will now automatically watch anything he is in (when previously I would have scoffed at the idea) - TD, Mud, Dallas Buyers Club, Intersteller, Wolf of Wall Street, The Lincoln Lawyer.

Always though he had potential after his brilliant performance in A Time to Kill.
