Isn't Elementary on Watch? I think that's brilliant. Or is it on Atlantic? You see what I mean, I never know where my things are actually on!
Elementary is currently being repeated, I've seen the first episode, and it seems decent. Though has the feel of a procedural about itAs good as The Sopranos - Game of Thrones - Sherlock.
In my opinion not a patch on many shows even from the last 12 months.
And the Sopranos is now 15 years old, hardly a recent show.
Which shows in the last year are better than Elementary? I'll admit that GoT is way more popular, not necessarily better

Really enjoying this, only criticism is the comical look for "The Master", looks like a clown zombie.
Him flying about in his cape/gown added an air of mystery but I share your sentiments!
Did Del Toro design create the Vampires/Reapers in Blade II? If he didn't The Strain is a huge rip off of the material from the film.
Looks like it has been renewed for a second series anyhow.
This season has dragged at times so I suspect they'll not try and drag it out to more than a season per book so 3? But money talks so who knows? It certainly not good enough to make a big impact and become overly popular IMO.
Has anyone read the books? They were the written/book equivalent of a popcorn movie IMO. There's some good content there, but ultimately the books were quite average at best and so is the series. Chuck Hogan is a pretty good writer, however in Del Toro it perhaps proves that an imaginative and creative talent in film can't necessarily write.
I don't think there is enough content in the books to make a series personally and might have done better as a film series with a bigger budget or at least to focus what the money was getting spent on. The Vampires are a bit spoofy, particularly as already touched on the Master. There is a reason explained in the books why he's humongous. The vamps are a bit too easily dispatched too, particularly by a 80 odd year old pensioner with a heart problem. The vampires hunting vampires story is interesting though.
The characters are about as deep as a puddle, when released the books received praise for putting a new spin on the genre-really? Abraham Setrakian is just a Van Helsing and the rest is parts borrowed from movies that Del Toro has be involved with.
Despite saying that I'll stick with it nextseason.

I remember reading it a few years ago and thinking to myself it was like reading a TV show script and is this a new way to pitch a TV show.
I'm only a few episodes in but it seems ok so far, some half decent actors in there and being directed by the 2 that wrote the books means it's an exact adaptation which I'm enjoying. I really liked the lead guy in House of Cards.
