So the man who brought us Pacific Rim, Hellboy has gone and made a new vampire based horror TV show. Based on a book of the same name which i have not read i have to say. But i do like the sound of it. Sort of vampire story but with the vampire being looked at more as a infection/virus, sort of zombie twist. sound good and promises to be a proper horror TV show not another teen orientated vamp show where the cast look like extras from a Abercrombie & Fitch advert. really looking forward to this. Rumors of Ron Perlman having a role in this too .

I've listened to the audio books (it's a trilogy), the first of which has the added bonus of being read by Ron Pearlman!

It's pretty good, very dark, well worth a watch if they stick to the story and don't tone it down.

Sorry, yes, it's on Watch. I never know what channel anything is on any more because it all gets plussed and series linked from reminder emails and Sky app searches. I had no idea what side The Strain was even on until the preceding poster said.

Well worth watching. They've stayed very close to the source material and visually it looks pretty good too.

Does take a while for things to get going and the different story lines to come together but it's worth sticking with it.

I'm enjoying it.

There's a few plot holes and "that'd never happen"scenarios in it but it's good "B movie" type fun overall.

That actress playing the English computer hacker is appalling though.

I've been watching at US pace, the show does start off quite slowly and improves massively.

Friends have told me this is extremely good.

So I am a trifle surprised it's been dumped on Watch, usually the home of not so great stuff.

Isn't Elementary on Watch? I think that's brilliant. Or is it on Atlantic? You see what I mean, I never know where my things are actually on!

I actually think it started out great and has got just a little bit silly, but I'm sticking with it for now....

Elementary is currently being repeated, I've seen the first episode, and it seems decent. Though has the feel of a procedural about it

Keep with it, Elementary is one of the best shows to have been broadcast in the last few years.

Really?
As good as The Sopranos - Game of Thrones - Sherlock.
In my opinion not a patch on many shows even from the last 12 months.
