Oh Man! Great collection!

I still have all the comics from the 2nd or 3rd UK issue, right up to when they joined up with Action Force smile.

I am such a TF geek and I do not care! Optimus Prime is my childhood hero and the original TF film is amazing still now.

I used to have a great collection, I madly gave them all away when I 'grew up'.

I want the Masterpiece collection and will someday treat myself to Prime and Megatron hehe

Such a geek!

Cheers pal.

I had the Megatron Masterpiece but got rid of it as it was flimsy and extremely difficult to transform.

I've still got the original UK comics from Issue 1 up to 300 or so and have numerous US comics. I have to go through my old original 80's Transformers just to reminisce.

It was my love of Italian cars that made me love Transformers as in 1984 during a family holiday in Italy, my dad got me Sunstreaker who was a yellow Lamborghini and wanted all the other cars. It wasn't until I got back from the holiday that I realised everyone was into them. What a great childhood smile

I had Red Alert. Always wanted Sunstreaker. biggrin

I once had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the TFs. All G1, none of the remade stuff from the 2000s.

Sadly my comic collection was stolen, but still have my GNs and my guide to the TF (Gen1) universe. biggrin )

I giggled like a wee kid the first time they transformed in the first movie and made all the noises, it was awesome.
100%. It's something about that noise that transports you back to being a kid and imagining just about anything industrial sized transforming.

Love it.

Can't wait for this one.

Grimlock! woohoo

Oh my days!! That has just made me grin like a child.

Do we know if Grimlock is voiced by the same actor as the original?

Some serious movie critiques in here.

They are brain out movies, nothing more, and they don't need to be. Just enjoy then for what they are.
Out of interest, how do you regard Simon Cowell's X-Factor Christmas number one singles?

They were stolen? That's horrible. If mine were, I'd train as a CSI technician and find the A holes.

I had Sideswipe and Red Alert amongst a hundred other but I must be one of the only people who never had Optimus Prime. During another holiday on Italy I managed to get the Constructicons who were my favourite.

I personally think that the G1 cartoons season 1, 2 & the movie have the best voices which suit the characters down to the ground. It just worked perfectly.

I had Prime and Megatron...always wanted Shockwave but he never came out here.
You had the Constructacons? Jealous! They were the first combiner team but never came out here, we got the 'big four' when they pushed them hard, Brutacus and that.
Devastator was one of the best.

Amongst the best ones I gave away to kids:

Jetfire = Awesome
Metroplex - What the hell was I thinking
Defensor - yes, the whole team
Jazz in good nic frown

Enjoyed them at the time.

Best. Toys. Ever.

I was really into the comics, loved the stories of Cybertron etc. TF were more than just some toys IMO, for me the comics and cartoon were in a different league to anything else. Untouchable.

I concur.
The UK stuff especially. The US comic and cartoon had some awful stories, but the UK stuff always delivered exceptional well though stories...all the more impressive because they had to work within the US continuity.
I am pretty sure at one point it meant we had two Ultra Magnus on Earth (but this wasn't realised in the comic). biggrin

Anyone tempted? I am!

Yes the UK comics were excellent, Ultra Magnus was a great character and the whole Galvatron on Earth story was superbly done IMO.

Still remember the excitement of seeing new Transformers in Toy shops smile.

It's a pretty good read. The follow up series: Monstrosity is okay as well.

The current dual running series of More Than Meets The Eye / Robots in Disguise has blended into the Dark Cybertron combined storyline, with some good single issue stories in there such as the origins of Soundwave.

I love this thread.

I've been collecting the graphic novels rather than individual comics since TF made a return. More pics to follow of comic collection and toy collection..............may take a while though smile

Sorely tempted...

That's ace, just like the original comic introduction.

I couldn't buy those new ones because I'd have to buy them all and I don't have the cash right now. biggrin

This.

I watch transformers movies to go wow and the massive destruction and laugh at the sillyness.

Let's get this down here... Optimus Prime... with a sword and shield... riding the back of a frankly HUGE Dinbot T-Rex?

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY MICHAEL BAY!
^^ This.
