Wheeler Dealers 2014/2015 - New Series
Discussion
Not sure I like the US based episodes as much. I understand they've got to do 20 shows a year now Discovery is owned by Velocity so appealing to the Yanks a bit more.
However I feel it's becoming a bit too much like Fast N Loud.
Can't wait for the return to dirty old Blighty with some British Leyland junk.

We only saw a small fraction of the work that was done to that truck. Why spend 10 minutes showing us how to paint your name on the door when we could have been watching the engine getting stripped and painted, the engine bay being prepped and painted, the custom exhaust being fabricated and fitted or the gear selector being fitted?
I am guessing there was a large team of people all working on that car.

Just watched the F1 truck episode.
Maybe I'm not in the right mood, but the whole episode left me cold. The project didn't seem to be their thing, Edd seemed oddly unconvincing, and it just didn't work for me. It was something that Gas Monkey Garage would have done so much better.
Edit: Also one of the most unconvincing price negotiations evarrr on the sale.

I thought it looked a bit too blingy, but maybe that's the look they wanted for the American market. I'd have preferred it with the original steel wheels and old English white paint, the paint on th car when they got it looked to be more like washing machine white than old English white imo.
Hope Ed was careful where he drilled the hole for the retaining pin on the crankshaft oil seal bush, it looked perilously close to the lip of the oil seal, which will be ripped to shreds if it runs over the hole where the pin sits.
