"Ugly duckling"? "eye sore"? Daft Sods.
I thought the same.

Though when you looked at it before the new chrome, wheels, and removal of those window tints it just didn't look right. I like what they did with it , kept it simple and in keeping with the original, its a car I'd be more than happy driving around.

When you consider the Pacer they did, seems a cheek to rip those mods..

Nice car. Terrible colour. Needed to be a deep metallic red or black. Orange just didn't suit it.

liked the finished product a lot... ok orange could have been swapped out for candy apple red or some sort of plum/purple but over-all I'd be happy

Not happy that the drilling for the door mods did not include putting a bit of paint round the bare metal on the holes.

yeah noticed that, assumed it went on later - this was just a 'dry run' to ensure everything worked.

really enjoyed the whole engine refurb bit though

Did I miss how he got the required 8 volts to work the door openers when he fitted them to the car?

Removed the OEM 6 Volt battery and replaced it with an 8 Volt battery - they just didn't show you that bit.

That was pretty much implied, he mentioned that the 8V would not damage the rest of the electrics.

Yeah the pacer was a mess, they'd have been better off doing a bit of old school WD on that car and selling it on (much like the did with the Golf I mentioned above).

Anyone remember the VW Golf GTi they did in Series 1?

Once they did it up, it looked like this: https://youtu.be/A5sLFUbMY44?t=1185

But now looks like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/golf-mk1-gti-restoration...

Well, Series 1 was first aired almost 12 years ago (I know. Scary!). But even so, that's a sad looking car now. frown

I think we should start a campaign to get Mike and Edd to restore it again!
