I love the comment from someone on the Twitterstorm that says something along the lines of "so it's ok for you to make a profit on a car, but not someone else?" smile

If the person trying to sell it on for a profit can manage to do so then fair play to them. That's what buying and selling is all about. If Mike doesn't like the fact that someone can profit from buying a car from him then he should have asked more for it when he sold it. QED.

What pisses me off is that he/they ruined a perfect 944Turbo he bought it so cheap could flip it and make good money instead made it a track car. Still I guess it was for sale so you can do what you like with it.

Not seen this weeks yet but the end result looks great. Always a car I've fancied but if your tall as I understand it there isn't the knee room/legroom which is a shame as it's an amazing engine.

My recording of it stopped just as they're talking a deal. How much did it go for?

Confirms himself to be a tosser there.

Always buying the cars for pennies by telling the owner that's all it's worth, and then proudly states he got it for a bargain.

It was not worth £7000 anyway. It was worth more than £3000 at the start and about £5000-£5500 after. It has terrible tyres on it as well.

I recon that seaside corrosion might come back to haunt the owner too!

I spotted this too - WHY bloody linglongs on a sports car you put good tyres on otherwise you've done it on the cheap and what else did you skimp on???

Was looking forward to the S2000, but a poor episode IMO.

The chap had a bid of 3.4k on ebay, but let him have it for 3? confused

But no problem, it has an engine fault that a garage couldn't rectify after rebuilding the engine, that means Ed will be taking it apart which is always interesting....

But no... A ridiculously easy fix and that's the engine sorted.

And of course the icing on the cake, the original owner 'buying' it back. So he bought the car, rebuilt the engine, sold it as he couldn't solve the problem confused and then buys it back for 7K!! Mental!! Mike, if the phone was ringing off the hook, why not give someone else the chance to buy it? At least restore some credibility instead of the original owner getting it back.

Sorry, but all in all just a pointless episode that should have been way better then it was.

Gotta agree with you Shilvers!

TBH I've taken to turning it off before the 'deal' bit. It's irrelevant.

As soon as they said the VTEC wasn't working I knew it would be oil related hehe

Overall a 'meh' episode. Not the best.

It was an okay show, not quite as good as the Corrado but streets ahead of some.

Mike makes a prat of himself when he complains about the car being sold on.

I was watching the Corrado episode wanting to buy the car, the best show they did in my eyes.

They sold a 2WD Sierra Cosworth on Runaways a couple of years ago, they rarely mention tyres unless they've bought something fancy, as long as they were legal they might as well have sold it with whatever tyres it was wearing when they bought it, no enthusiast driver is going to run an S2000 or Cosworth on ditch finders.

Hang on, so the buyer (supposedly) buys it from Mike for 7 "owld out ya 'and" Grand - has a pile of work and upgrades done, by some fancy Honda Technician and is selling it for £500 more and Mike's pissed off - is it the measly 'profit' the guy is making, or the fact they he names drops the programme to do it? I've seen the Ads they use when they're selling car for the show - they really push the "it's been on telly" angle.

It's a shame, I've watched it since they were doing up £500 Capris, I've be able to tolerate Mike's bit, even after they've moved him into the middle of the show when he goes off to polish a bit of wheel or something, but this sort of thing makes it much harder.
