Are you really surprised? With cars miraculously having random things never even mentioned like new brakes, suspension parts, engine and gearbox strip downs and the occasional complete restorations etc. no way could two or even three people do that in the timescales they have.
To be honest no but would maybe make the show better if they showed the mechanics fettling away on the car in the background etc.

No doubt Edd has something in his contract precluding anyone else working in the cars unless he asks when on camera. Hence Paul and the other one never actually say anything.

Edd's contract actually stipulates that the other mechanics have to have their vocal cords removed. Paul hasn't been able to utter even a single syllable for the past twelve years.

They'd probably be dressed as Kuroko if H&S permitted.

I'm sure I heard the new mechanic Phil say "No problem" when Edd asked him to help him remove something from the car.

it seems to be a a sort of well-built TVR.

I cannot see any TVR's in Pingu393's garage profile, how does the poster know?
General discussions (internet myths) indicate that you need to be handy with the spanners (or cheque book) if you own a TVR. I am handy with the spanners, so I'd be happy with a TVR. In fact I get bored when a car is too good. But, looking at the program, the Noble looked like it was a car designed around other manufacturer's components, but it looked more sorted than the TVRs that I have seen.

They are allowed to talk about ice cream, but not about cars smile.

They were filming just up the road from me yesterday at Lexington reservoir (Los Gatos, CA). It wasn't stated, but I recognise the background from Twitter pics. Had I known, I would have popped up for a nose!

Yup. I remember this as I was playing the wd drinking game (on my own!) and had to finish my drink!

Fell asleep shortly after..

Just watched the Cobra Kit car episode. Not once did Ed check the age of the engine before deciding it needed up to date emmissions regulations compliance. It's quite possible the engine block was 30/40 yrs old, and didn't need to.

Anyone in the market for a WD restored Lotus?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231817898620?_trksid=p20...

Seems the last 7 years haven't been kind to it.

I like the look of these but the interior is appalling.

What an utter piece of st that looks like now.

Exterior not loved
Interior diabolical - looks utterly unloaded and frankly trashed

Given it was supposedly done up previously you have to either think it was a botch job OR has been utterly treated like a piece of st.

I wonder if it's worth buying or leaving.

Looks like it's been abandoned outside and left to rot for several years. Why would you do that unless there was something seriously amiss that stopped you driving it?
