Saying Edd fiddles with kids and calling Brewer a wker really isnt clever in any sort of way. Not even remotely amusing.Cupramax said:

Very late to the party as I assumed WD was some US or Maxpower conversion type show, but I am finding these really interesting, as I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to oily bits.
Yes they obviously take some editing liberties and the prices paid/sold/profit are a bit odd and Mike's statements of the obvious can be irritating but ignore that and I find it fascinating.
Just catching up on series 12 and up to the 240Z, thinks like re-profiling a camshaft with soldering surprises me, solder seems to be wondrous stuff

Better watch it again if you think it was solder . Solder would be too soft, it was welded and then ground.Yes they obviously take some editing liberties and the prices paid/sold/profit are a bit odd and Mike's statements of the obvious can be irritating but ignore that and I find it fascinating.

aha yes of course, even so I was impressed you could weld on extra metal on such a pressurized component, rather than start again from a new block of metal and re-cutChris_H said:
Episode 2 is apparently a Volvo PV544 which is one of these (this is not the WD one):
Mmmmm, do like a nice PV (mine'd be matt black, lowered, set of Torque Thrust D2s and with a fair few horses lurking under the bonnet). Sadly, Volvo only made them in LHD which puts me off a bit - think there are 2 RHD conversions in the UK.Anyway, looking forward to the new series of WD as always… not too sure that an 80's 'stang is a car I'd particularly want to buy, but I'll be glued to the screen as always.
Anyone else have a fight with their missus/partner/whatever at this time of year? Wheeler Dealers and Game of Thrones on at the same time? Bound to cause trouble, that!

Not at all. We record both. GoT is already recorded, so will watch that at about 7 tonight. We watch very little 'live', as the ad breaks are excruciating. I have even clocked one set of adverts at 7 minutes long! I am sure they used to be no more than 2-3 minutes. If we want to watch something near the air time, we'll wait 20 minutes or so beforehand..

likewise, WD is enjoyable only because I can FFWD through the adverts and the following 60 second repeat of the highlights of a programme I watched 5 minutes ago!!If we want to watch something near the air time, we'll wait 20 minutes or so beforehand..
