We weren't bartering with Mike 'old owt yer and' Brewer, we were dealing with the head of production who knew he had other potential buyers turning up. £13,000 for an 11 owner 90,000 car albeit with good FSH and in nice condition is too much. We are looking at dealer car at the weekend with a warranty, 60,000 on the clock, 4 owners and a nicer interior for a grand less. I think who ever buys it will be prepared to pay a premium because of the celebrity factor!
The 3200 has been worked on by Guru Mike Roberts (Maserati shed) who services mine. The car for sale is indeed a little on the expensive side but has had the Throttle Body upgrade done and will not need spending on for a good couple of years. The only thing I can see negative there is the steering wheel leather has come away and looks tatty. This is a common problem and can be remedied easily enough for the price of some glue. I am doing mine this week thanks to a great DIY thread on the SM forum.

3200 prices seem to be firming up now with a well sorted low mileage manual car fetching around £15k so let's hope this one sell and once they get on people's radar prices go even higher. I think WD will help and once people realise you cannot get a better supercar for the money it should firm them up for good.

The car looks very nice. When you said dealer I popped onto the official site. the cheapest car was £40K. So I'm guessing a specalist prestige dealer is where you were looking.

Did you buy the car?

I used to see one of these in Watford whilst on my lunch. Nice sound.

11 owner car for sale that alone will narrow your market. Remember when you sell it will be 12 owners

For a 12 year old car what the most number of owners peeps would not bat an eye lid at? 7 ?

Any more than 3 or maybe 4 then I would be nervous.

I had a Mk1 XR2 back in the day. Looking forward to that.
Me too, brand new in 82 EHF 401Y in sunburst red with optional headrest pads (the only option) and a sunroof.
Mine was white, A404 JNF. Bought second hand when about a year old. First decent car I had.

Not sure which car you are referring to Birdster...

Just found it on my Sky planner, set to record - Fiesta XR2.

More than any other car-related programme, I look forward to this the most.

I love the weekends, too, although I have series 1-10 on DVD, I still leave on one of the Discovery channels on when they have a whole day showing them in the background!

I wouldn't buy a Wheeler Dealer car until I had seen the episode and seen what they had bodged! biggrin What is the URL for the official website? It seems the selling process in now a bit of a joke if they are advertising the cars using their TV status now.

Skyplus'd Wheeler Dealers and Custom My Rides got me through the night feeds of my new born 3 years ago. The next baba is due in July - this is good timing!

Just had a look on my sky+ app.

Monday at 10pm is it? The description says it's a FSO.

Am I getting the right episode?

No, it is on at 9.00pm, an hour before the FSO - confusing because, as said earlier, the new series is simply called Wheeler Dealers, and the last series (Series 10) is called New Wheeler dealers! confused

Really looking forward to the new series... looks like they’ve got an interesting mix of cars again.

The XR2 and a grand for repairs: it’s almost like they’re harking back to the early episodes when the total budget for a car & restoration/tarting up was only £1000.

The wait is almost over!

It will be great seeing an episode I haven't already watched 10 times over!

Never understood the insults & slagging towards this show.
Pretty sure it's a minority of knobbers that enjoy picking at everything for the hell of it.
WD, Fast n Loud & Car SOS , all genuinely entertaining, informative & watchable shows.

I watch (and will continue to watch) the prog, but Edd stopped being a home mechanic years ago.

The stuff he does now tends to need oodles of dosh and a full workshop. Brake skimming with a £5k machine, Terraclean with full exhaust analysis, etc.

I don't know what I'd like to see them do next, but possibly showing us how to properly spray a car (or panel). It would give him a chance to reclaim some cred after the Capri smile. They might even have to give over half an hour to the guy who sprays their cars.

I'm looking forward to the XR2, especially as it is one of the earliest ones.
