They did a VW van that was turned into a camper because they didn't have the budget for a split screen. ED ended up 'buying it' I imagine because they couldn't sell it due to the hideous bubble print wrap they put on it.
I thought it was a panel van in Burnt Orange? Or was that a different one? JonRB said:

I must have missed that one, I know the starting VW van they used on this particular one was in a sort of dysentery beige colour. It wouldn't have been bad if they had put a sensible wrap or paint on it as the conversion genuinely looked pretty good.

I'm always disappointed in the way some bits of the cars are left rusty/oily. It wouldn't take much to clean/degrease and slap on some hammerite paint. So I suggest they invest in a pressure washer, degreaser, blast cabinet, a few paint brushes and tins of hammerite paint.
..Like fitting lovely re-chromed light surrounds with the original rusty screws... robinessex said:

Maybe on one show they might - after all, it does show different fixes, rather than the same old oil change and pads each time robinessex said:

They have a cleaning cabinet; I've seen it used several times on the later shows. They also hired a steam cleaner on the Porsche 914 episode. Plus a lot of the time, the cars go from shabby to beautifully cleaned with no comment, so I would hazard a guess that every car gets a pressure wash and detail before sale - they just don't explicitly show it.
