I almost turned this off after about twenty minutes, good job I didn't as the closing few minutes changed the whole story around.

True, now I think about it. What I suspect I meant was that the first one of this series (the dinner party, was that the first?) had a bit more going on all the way through, where this one was quite flat. I didn't watch the earlier series.

Yes - bit of a slow burner that one.. (unless you are interested in nice house decor.)

Good find. If I pretended to find one of my shoes, my wife would say "but that's your own shoe, the other one's in the bottom of the wardrobe, I worry about you sometimes" ... The End.

After the fade to black with him about to get the needle, the art expert got out of it and did her in, took her heart out to put as part of the display and took the credit for the exhibition.

I was beginning to wonder whether there was a bit after the credits that I should have watched. The explanation from ajprice above is probably correct but a bit of a let-down.

I reckon that she didn't tie him up that well so he would be able to escape and she knew that he would kill her and take out her heart. That way her son's heart would live on being an artist, given that the critic took credit for the show.

I'm not sure I can watch that one again. It knocked me sideways a bit when I first saw it

Can't believe I missed this until the latest series. Are the earlier ones repeated?

The most astonishing thing I've ever seen on TV. Though that's to some extent for very personal reasons.

Just watched tonight's episode having seen it last time round.

Made Mrs Nick watch it too - she's not a fan of No. 9.

We're both sat with tears. Incredibly moving and fantastic how they squeeze so much into 27 minutes. Pulls you in more than anything I've ever seen in such a short space of time within a self-contained instalment. Staggeringly good.
