Im guessing though they do realise it will need to be very special indeed to capture the kids and dads alike. Dont spose there will be too many women looking like this one....how lovely.

I watched it but was never that enamoured by it.
I did prefer Fireball XL5 as it had Venus and Zoony and they got to go everywhere on their cool space hover bikes - not sure they ever used a space helmet either. That was far more inspirational.
Steve Zodiac was a regular hero and the professor had the standard thick pebble glasses.
Robert the Robot was brilliant:
I also loved Stingray with the mechanical fish and the fish men. Let's not forget Marina, modelled I believe on Brigitte Bardot
"Er, er, gee Troy, I think Stingray's breaking up(cut to water leaking in through the seams)
"Keep her steady, Phones, I dare say there'll be some huge city under the sea down here somewhere - look, there..."
Captain Scarlet was boring too - not much fun when you're indestructible.
(Wasn't Captain Scarlet modelled on George Best? he looked like him)
The biggest downers for me was that every time they had to zoom in, we got human hands - no fun at all.
I'm not sure why they haven't re-made Fireball XL5.
These days, kids have far more weird stuff - check out Adventure time and Regular Show on Cartoon Network - mind-blowing what kids have to get their heads round these days.
