I wondered how I'd managed to miss the final-ever episode when they showed the penultimate one earlier in the year. Turns out I hadn't. According to the paper (well, the Express) it was postponed because it was felt it wasn't the right time to show it in the run-up to a general election.

I haven't seen the new series - didn't he drive a P5 in the previous one?matchmaker said:
Not a 3.5 - would it not be the old IOE 2.6 straight 6?
Power for the new Rover 2000 comes from an entirely new four cylinder engine of simple, robust, single overhead camshaft layout. An excellent power output of 90 bhp. (installed) is developed at 5,000 rpm. and this is combined with extreme economy of operation. Source

...Nevermind. Perhaps for a season finale they could move on a year or two and investigate the murder of Jack Carter's brother, and the contract killing of Jack shortly after?...
I wrote that two years ago - and now he's dead, shot by a marksman on the NE shoreline. Spooky.Good viewing, overwrought storyline, nicely done.
Was the DI from London a member of the Troughton family? Looked very familiar with the sunken eyes, and RADA-type voice.
