Great comedy cast.

Didn't quite deliver for me though.

A few funny moments but overall very medium.

It was terrible. It's one of those things you talk your other half into watching then feel embarrassed at how terrible it is but you don't want to admit it so you just keep going hoping it'll get better only it never does until it finally ends and you just look at her as if to say "I'm so so sorry".

The only amusing part was at the end when they breach the house.

Swat leader "what are they doing?"
Subordinate "they're going in"
Swat leader "we're going in?"
Nesbitt "who's going in?"
Subordinate "they're going in"
Swat leader "are we going in?"
Nesbitt "no don't go in"
Swat leader "we've already gone in"
Nesbitt "no, call them back"
Swat leader "they're already in!"

50 f#cks in the first 10 minutes, bloke`s dick on show, spitting on some takeaways while having a s#it. Just genius. Surprised these themes didn`t appear in that opening ceremony.

Watch the first 5 minutes to see if it’s for you. Just don’t expect it to get any better (as I did), because it doesn’t.

Accidently caught the last 20 mins of this - sadly not encouraged to go and view the rest.

Bring back 'The Good Guys' or whatever it was called - made on a shoestring budget and largely by unknowns, but much wittier and sometimes really funny.

I actually avoided looking in this thread as I wanted to avoid any spoilers before watching it this morning.

Wish I had now.

Well, that was dire.

On the plus side, it had Jill Halfpenny in it...

I watched it last night, and quite liked it. There were a few "that could never happen" moments, but there were some good bits, along the lines of In the Thick of it and 2012.

It certainly wasn't the worst telly I've watched and I even reached for the remote at the end to try and find the rest of the series (which there isn't, yet).

I read some of the comments on here before I watched it, and I'm a bit surprised that people felt they had to switch off (perhaps I had low expectations)?

Certainly I would not have been too happy being portrayed like this if I was a policeman.

I watched it, it had its moments, but not in the same league as The Thick of It or even 2012, except the above mentioned 'SWAT' conversation.

I'm confused though, was it a series? Where is the rest of it? All that publicity and just one episode?

It was a pilot episode, but they commissioned a full series before the pilot was screened.

I've just watched the one that was on the other night and really like it. I cant make up my mind if it's the least funny comedy I've ever seen or the funniest drama. Either way, I thinks it's dead good. It does sometimes go for gritty realism in the sound recording though which sometimes means I literally don't hear what's being said. Not good if It's supposed to be a funny line.

Two episodes in and I'm really enjoying this.

Best quote so far from last week:

Radio - "Member of the public says there is a man armed with an Uzi shot gun"

Armed Police officer - "I hope not" biglaugh
