I'm pleased to say that I've stuck with this and I love it now. Lots of good characters and an excellent combination of silly and serious stuff.

Did Nesbitt want to leave? As was a strong character, would have expected at least a season end dramatic finale to see him out rather than a low key suicide.

Not just him, but also the relationship between him and Liz was key to the show, and his position in the tension between Liz and her nemesis.

Was bizarre how it went from light chemistry between the two over multiple episodes, to sudden revelations with 1 minute of him sleeping with anything female.

Question marks for me over whether the series can carry on.

Didn't know what to expect after last weeks weak episode, but wow that was a brilliant episode from start to finish.

In the end it was my fave thing on TV for a while. Loved the location at one point - I found out it is the Beveridge Hall near Euston:

Just binged on Netflix, bloody good fun! Completely missed this at the time so had no preconceptions. Shame there's no more.
