I thought it was the best of the Marvel films so far
How does it affect the Agents of Shield universe? I can see some interesting links but are they the same universe? I guess so because of the Collector but not sure?
It is the same universe (just look at who Ronin was working for). And Marvel have already hinted at future cross over points. How does it affect the Agents of Shield universe? I can see some interesting links but are they the same universe? I guess so because of the Collector but not sure?
I want to see these guys meet the Avengers, that would be cinematic bliss.
I was thinking more along the lines of there have been questions about the girls parentage in Agents of Shield. This could be the same sort of thing. Star Lord has mixed parentage so could the girl be part Kree or whatever they were? The blue people and the pink people are the same race I think Ive read somewhere
Am I correct in that Thannos is the ultimate Marvel baddie that all the others are underneath?

Ive slated the last two Marvel films as they were weak dross.
THIS WAS AWEEEEEESOME!
Loved every minute and anybody who wasnt grooving with Quinn as soon as he put the headphone is frankly too retarded to be allowed an opinion.
Wonderful wonderful film. At long last we have a true heir to the original Star Wars. This deserves to be replayed every Bank Hol for the next 30yrs.

saw it last night, first time i had been to the flicks since Man Of Steel wasted 2 hours of my life last year.
great opening 5 mins, then i thought it got a bit lost till they all met up - after that though, fantastic. genuine sparks between the characters even with 2 being CGI.
proper fun, proper sci-fi and also, (when not using the 80@s sountrack) a great uplifting score, (hans zimmer take note).
groot rules.
oh, and post credit scene is not worth waiting for.
7.5/10

Spoiler has some x-men spoilers tooI want to see these guys meet the Avengers, that would be cinematic bliss.
That rock that they where fighting over, that was 1 of 6 rocks, wonder what happens when all 6 are together, perhaps a couple of them are on earth, perhaps 1 has already featured on AoS
The new x-men films has some links to the avengers too, which was good to see, it also reset the time line so previously dead x-men are alive, which bring an interesting twist if their is going to be a link but I know for franchise reasons that may not be possible, I really hope that some sort of deal is made so that wolverine can be in an avengers film

They are called the "Infinity Stones" and if Thanos gets hold of them he puts them in the "Infinity Gauntlet" which makes him pretty much omnipotent and the most dangerous villian in the Galaxy. In fact with the Gauntlett he erases half of all life in the universe just to impress Lady Death!
As for where they are?
...the first Infinity stone was seen in Captain America and Avengers (The Tesseract is the "Space Stone") Which is now stored on Asgard. The second features in Thor 2 in gas/liquid form... the Aether. Which itself was handed over to the Collector in an after credit scene So with the Nova Corps now holding the Third stone after the Guardians handed it over... we just gotta find out where the other three now.
Oh, and at comic-con a short while ago, during the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" panel they bought out Josh Brolin who plays Thanos in both Gaurdians and Age of Ultron... and he was wearing.... the Infinity Gauntlet. (Which was also shown in Odin's vault in the first Thor movie )
But for my opinion... please no x-men in the current Marvel universe. The tone of the two franchises are so different. I don;t find the X-Men movies "fun" at all. Enjoayble yes, but not "fun".
I think I'll bow out of this thread for now. I know I want to see the film, I know people who have seen it have found it awesome, so there is nothing more for me here right now than the risk of an inadvertent spoiler.
I shall return to the thread after I've seen it and will probably be the 100th person to say "I am Groot".

Nothing spoilery for me in there, already a comic book fan. To add to your comments though with some more detail...

Watched this last night...Great film. Excellent sets, casting, special effects, funny, exciting, moving...just the whole package really.
In some movies of this genre I'm left wanting see more of a character but this one i felt they each had a good amount of screen time without labouring the back story. Drax was funny...I thought he'd be another wooden wrestler/actor but he made that role his own.
Even with crappy seats and 3d glasses It was still an excellent experience. I look forward to when it's available to buy.
Now go see for yourself.

Don't generally like comic book films, but this was excellent. Chris Pratt is a star of the future.
Have not seen the film yet but on the clips I've seen he's very good. He used to be in a series called Everwood on TV and played the same sarcastic so-and-so. I guess that's his thing and nothing wrong with that!Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
