Finally got round to watching it, thought it was pretty good, nice to see the comedy side to the MCU. My only little annoyance was that Nova wasnt in it, or mentioned at all. But having the Nova Corps means they are clearly leaving the door open for him. Fingers crossed. Loved the little nods to Cosmo and Howard the Duck.
Watched it for the first time yesterday while flying back from UAE. Thought it ether full unfortunately. Had heard good things but the story just didn't seem to go anywhere an the comedy was just very forced. I didn't really care about any of the characters and the whole thing just didn't really click.
This is my son's favourite film and I've seen it twice now, once on a plane where I thought it was ok, and once at home, where I did enjoy it a little more, but it's not 'the best film EVER!' as he repeated tells me.
That said, I felt it was much better than the train wreck that was Avengers Assemble - I don't think I've ever seen such a mess of a film as that... (Let's squeeze in EVERY character we can and use it as a trailer for every new film we're planning to make in the next 10 years...)

I like it - but there is one scene that grates.
Just after they have been arrested and the guy calls the a bunch of "a-holes". I really hate that term.
When the trailer came out - I thought they had just dubbed it so they could put it out on family movies - but was pretty disappointed to find it's in the actual film too.
Why not just say "assholes" - there are plenty of other mild swearwords in the movie so it cant have been done for censorship purposes.
I know it's a minor thing - but it's extremely annoying (perhaps I should put this in the "trivial things that annoy you" thread)

Lol I actually liked that bit, it's the do-good image of the character, if you recall when recounting the message from Star Lord later on he does the same thing, a man who doesnt sweat or would feel guilty for doing so, it's part of what made it so good!Just after they have been arrested and the guy calls the a bunch of "a-holes".
