Ok let's get it out of the way, yeah it's all fixed and more of a pantomime than sport.

Good, well I've watched it for years since I was a kid and still enjoy the dramatics, as bad as the acting maybe. There is still no denying the agility of some of them though. The other week watching a man carry another man on his shoulders who weights 425lb is still a feat in itself.

With that said are there any others out there who will confess to watching a bit of the squared ring entertainment, WWE or TNA?

WWE and before that, WWF are frickin awesome!

I haven't watched it for a few years now but I have enjoyed American wrestling from the old Macho Man days right through to Triple H etc. These guys are top athletes IMO and Wrestlemania main events are always good fun to watch.

Oh, just to add. I shook hands with Ric Flair and Triple H in New York 2004. Whoooooooo!

Massive fan from 1989-2003/4/5ish?
Not sure when it tailed off for me, around the time the best left; Austin, Rock, Angle. When HHH took over basically, and the PPVs started the slow migrate to real UK PPV channels. Royal Rumble used to be essential viewing for me, now...I couldn't tell you who won the last five times, and I used to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of that stuff, all championships and main events too.
Still have old tops to go to the gym in...someone t'other day asked me who Edge Christian was. hehe

Yep, I unashamedly love it. I never get why people criticise it for being fake when a film or tv show is also scripted and full of actors. Best era was the late 80's early 90's, with cartoon villains (Mr Fuji and the Million Dollar Man were my favourites), and anything where Jesse Ventura was the co-commentator although looking back Hulk Hogan winning everything got a bit stale. Plenty of it on youtube which keeps me going for hours. At the moment I can't afford the tv packages needed to watch it live, so have to stick with the highlights

If it is on in the gym I'll pick the bike in front of that screen. Impressive feats of strength, agility, and coordination. And that's just the acting! I wouldn't pay to watch it, though.

It annoys me that we should feel ashamed to like it.

I love it. Shame that CM Punk seems to have just upped and left. Loved his spots on the mic.

Same for me. I watch Wretslemania now and again - the last few Undertaker matches have been good.

On the whoel its a bit crap now from what I have seen - also went a bit too child friendly. Problem is with all the good stuf in the Atitude Era it was hard to top - also I think the demisne of WCW and the bloat of WWF might have added to it being a bit crap.

How do you reckon Orton is going to squirm a win then?

How refreshing. I forgot I was on PH and could have a conversation with people could actually talk about a subject.

Yeah Elimination Chamber should be good, I think the way they have played it recently it's going to be another Orton win which is a bit of a shame. I agree with some of the recent rumours and comments if they're true that some of the guys are annoyed that Batista just walks back in and gains everything. I think the writers missed an opportunity with Daniel Bryan at the Rumble, and it was unfair to put Rey in at number 30.

Still, if the rumours are true that Undertaker makes an appearance on Raw Feb 24th then I'm looking forward to that.

I was a huge fan in my school days, early 90's up until the end of the attitude era really, I'll watch a bit of the old stuff on YouTube if i'm a little bored with nothing else to do, not a fan of the child friendly type of WWE we have now, I went with a pal to watch a couple of the TNA shows in London a couple of years ago to see some of the old timers, my favorites were always British Bulldog, Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior and Legion of Doom, Bring back the glory days!

I was a massive fan in the 90s, though I lost interest after the Attitude era, as the best characters left and the storylines became less than compelling. I still watch classic 90s matches on YouTube, if I had Sky I'd probably watch it for the sake of it, but it's just not as good as it used to be.

That's been rumoured pretty much since Lesnar returned. Would be interesting to see if 'Taker can still go with someone with the intensity of Lesnar. Would still much rather see that than 'Taker vs Sting which is another potential match it would seem.

The Sheild vs The Wyatt Family is shaping up to be a hell of a match, hopefully leading up to the split of The Shield and Roman Reigns getting a good singles push, those spears look absolutely lethal.

No chance of the first two coming back frown Macho Man vs Ricky Steamboat in Wrestlemania 3 is one of my favourite matches ever

Never watched the 90's as most of it was before my time, 2004-07 were my best memories.

Evolution fking Randy Orton was mad, and the feud between Triple H and Batista was very good too, that was when I liked Cena, enjoyed his antics e.g. changing the US belt and WWE belt to the spinning one, don't really like him that much now TBH, I would like to see him turn Heel, but can't see it happening at all. I hope WWE reignite the feud between him and Batista, that could be a good storyline, want to see Batista DESTROY Cena.

Who remembers the 'trial' of Eric Bischoff? laugh

Haha there's a blast from the past. The Old School was good not so long back with Sgt Slaughter as referee. Can't understand why the New Age Outlaws are back now though. Agree with the post earlier about Reigns and that spear, he should definitely split from the Shield. Ambrose and Rollins are not good characters and need to be ditched.

Liking Emma from NXT though biggrin

I see that UW is being inducted into the Hall of Fame....now that must have taken some cash.
I still like to watched interviews of people, from the era I like, plus reading about the old real feuds.
I have the Hitman autobiog, and the Foley one, plus an ace UK wrestling book by Simon Garfield, oh and the Dynamite Kid one, my Granddads mate trained him.
Met a few of them at an old gym I used to frequent, Hitman's old wife was fit, seen a few of the new ones at LFCC last Autumn, some girl...Kelly Kelly?...wowsers....

There is a decent vid of 10 WWE dream matches, André versus TBS. biggrin
