I find the prolonged motor sport features a bit boring (not a fan) so tend to skip them and Johnny could make skydiving sound banal.

The A-Class AMG is probably a good car but I would certainly not park something that ugly on my drive and pay £38k for the privilege. No sirree. I'd have a used Aston V8 and polish it a lot and look down on anyone with an A-Class, however fast it was.

The Lexus was another car which looked fabulous inside but unforgivably ugly outside.

I just wonder how people look at these cars and think "Wow, that is something really desirable". Is it Emperor's New Clothes with a new car?

The article on the oil change was illuminating though - how to take half a second off your 0-100 time jsut with an oil change (yes, yes, hardly scientific but at least she did 3 runs on each).

Good episode so far that range rover plane part was good to see it do that.

A set of Merc heated seats cost the same as my entire car, which has heated seats. You'd really need to have more money than sense to spec up these super saloons and buy new. Crazyness.

Good episode, I only fast-forwarded the adverts and not any of the articles.

Not convinced of the styling of the new Leon, the previous model's mini-MPV styling at least set it apart from its Golf and Octavia cousins. This new model just looks bland and I had to double check that they weren't testing an Ibiza.

I am enjoying this series, barring the perennial squeaking, exaggerated mouth movements and irritating voice of the butt-hand-her-some. The Super saloon test was good to watch, and the affordable car comparison tests are a rarity on TV now. The new Leon looks good, hope they do a test on the Cupra SC soon.

I enjoyed the episode last night. The Seat is a cracking little car. I think it looks great although the interior is too Audi for my taste. I'm pleased they can still review a 1.4 car in a positive light when they get to drive such stonking machines every week. I also enjoyed the poor mans saloon section. I had a V6 Mondeo years ago and the RS4 is a glorious car. I wish I could afford to run one. As a BMW fan boy who doesn't quite get the latest Audi range, that was the last of the truly desireable saloon shapes for me. I even appreciated the RR piece and I'm not one for 4x4's. As an every day car, it seemed to do everything well. Did anyone notice how different Swedish factory workers looked compared to the UK ones? biggrin In fact the only bit I didn't like was Johnny's jumper. Who the hell does his wardrobe?

Why did they call the seat an "SC" when it had "FR" badges on it?

Another good episode.

Would probably have the Merc though
Seat was funky and they all seemed to like it.
Used alternatives were good too
RRS through the plane. How cool was that!

Girl on the production line at Volvo was nice boxedin

Nice to see Tiff and Plato saying the Audi RS6 was better than the "tail wags the dog" Merc.

You just know TG would have featured Clarkson going "Woh!!!!" and "I'm going to die!!!!!" and "Baby Jeeebus!" and then saying it (the Merc) was the most brilliant car ever...

Half way through the Burma special and clearly TG has decided cars just get in the way of their antics...

I enjoyed it. It was a nice counterpoint to the silliness of Top Gear. Obviously it is a much smaller audience for 5th Gear though.

If we're talking intelligent programming, I think you'll find fewer people watch Horizon than Eastenders. wink

I think there's room for both 5G and TG but Eastenders should be burned at the stake hehe
