Can't believe the husband was hiding away in his bedroom there whilst the wife was losing the plot. It was also interesting to note that someone who has recently been made bankrupt (and was applying for bankruptcy again) could magically find 6 grand just like that.

edit - did that bird just pull an iphone out of her bra? laugh

Pretty disgusting evicting three families so the landlord could rent the properties back to the council as emergency housing for more money.

I was getting angry just listening to that women, what a gobby cow. If I was the husband hiding away Id have walked out and asked the balifs to take her away.

Was also nice to see her reflecting on her moral obligations.

I know she was rather "heavy" but i doubt even findus would have taken her - damaged goods

My thought also.

If they haven't paid their rent, fair enough. But if you're doing it purely to increase your profit and profiting from people in desperate situations, it seriously questions one's morality. A poor show by the landlord and not surprising they didn't appear on the show.

I watch this programme regularly, and it's surprising how often people are evicted without being given an exact date. It doesn't seem fair, especially when young kids are involved. I'm all in favour of sorting out scumbags, but surely even they are entitled to know what date they need to be out by?

They do know, but the council won't rehouse them until they are actually homeless, so things are ignored until it escalates to the unannounced eviction.

You'd like to hope the council would have been aware of the situation and refused the landlords request for the properties to be used for emergency housing.

How did she manage to run up debts again so quick?
If you're bankrupt you can't get credit or a bank account can you? So eho gave her credit to make the debt?

At a guess I would say the bankruptcy was for a LTD company going on her saying they (the house/debts etc) were protected from!

That did not appear to be the case. Right at the start of that enforcement the HCEO said the debt was in their personal names.

Debts are only "written off" if they are specifically declared in the bankruptcy which is why (obnoxious) Brian kept asking her for the schedule [of debts].

I can only surmise that they were declared bankrupt and were discharged after (typically) 12 months and then obtained further finance with which they had "got into difficulty" and were in the process of applying to be declared bankrupt for a second time. No big surprise which is why the finance acquired post bankruptcy will have been from a high risk lender and why the interest on such finance is so high.

Bankruptcy is seen as a much too easy option these days.

The house may well have been owned in a "corporate vehicle" which is why they may have retained the house (assuming they owned it and it was not rented.

That woman was disgusting! She seemed proud that she was hiding behind 2 bankruptcy orders! Yet had £6k available instantly.

Same as the bus company the other week. The original debt was £10k, and he had to pay £12k. After saying he couldn't pay it etc etc, he finally took it out from his ISA. Why not pay the original debt that way you retard? Would have saved £2k, and saved his credit (if he had any).

"My document has seven stamps, your document only has one" I did laugh at her completely serious face when she said that.

Quite surprising to hear the enforcement officers saying they thought she wore the trousers in that relationship, think they wouldn't be so opinionated on camera! biggrin

She was a gem eh, wonder what the original company was, I wouldn't want to deal with her in any capacity whatsoever!

Loved the eccentric with a plane. An acquaintances dad is like that, not a pot to piss in and has a lock up he pays for in cash with a lovely boat in that he never uses.

Lost track of the disagreement between the neighbours (one of which had a fish business). What was the lady claiming against the couple next door?

The number of vehicles using the lane to buy fish. Said it was like a garden centre at weekends. Fair enough really.

Eta: I think they said it was 75% of the legal costs
