I'm waiting for the less touchy feely side of the business to get a show of its own - 'Can't Pay? We'll break your f**king legs!'

I suspect the Nick van Hoogstraten school of tenant relations had less problems with non-paying East Europeans & provided faster results.

I was having some sympathy for the woman with 2 kids. Until they said she had 7 kids. How utterly irresponsible.

Never be a guarantor for anyone, ever, lol.
Just watching it now - can't believe the way the daughter has turned round and said it's up to the parents to pay the debt as they are the guarantors. OK, strictly speaking she is right, but even so...

Not to give them 2 days is ridiculous.
Because they want 2 days, and then 2 days, and then just 2 more days.

Sometimes, you have to be cruel to be kind.

Another guarantor story tonight, seems like there's one every week. They surely must understand what they're signing, so why do they live with their heads in the sand? This weeks's guarantor couldn't find any cash worth talking about, yet offered a direct debit of £2k per month, and eventually settled on £1500 per month. How the hell is his personal financial situation going to fund that? Wish I could suddenly find an extra £1500 a month I'd forgotten about. I suspect the arrangement will not be maintained.

Felt sorry for the sub-tenants in that butchered house -but little wonder the owner was cheesed off. Did I hear right -£160 per week? I'm in the wrong business.

Six rooms in the house and one in the outbuilding at, say, £160/week each (the amount one outgoing tenant said he paid)
= £1120/month eek I'd love to know what the original tenant who's doing the sub-letting is paying the landlord/owner.

That's at 7 * £160 that's £1120 per *week* i.e. £4480/month. And all for little cost or risk.

Er - that's actually £1120 PER WEEK! It's probably worth trying the scam even though you're going to get caught. Raking it in for at least 6 months, I reckon. Then you do a runner and start again.

£160 per week to live there? Good grief, some people really do have more money than sense!

I thought the bit with the family who were guarantor for the daughter last week was pretty sad and they handled it very well. The daughter was shameful, although people do unpleasant things under pressure I guess.

This week missed the bit where they explained about the 61k debt, so the man featured had stood as guarantor on a business loan? Jesus, its one thing to do it for your kids to rent a place, but that feels risky unless you are well loaded up with cash or assets?

I did think his reaction was interesting, it was almost like someone had come to the door looking to claim a a trivial amount. Denial?

The takeaway owner was a classic case of bravado reaction, and I imagine they get loads like that, making a lot of fuss and noise and the best thing to do was to leave and come back. I thought it was mad they were leaving but they clearly know their stuff.

Yes, she gave the general impression of being a decent sort of person, fully aware of her responsibilities and pretty stoic in adversity. Hope things turn out alright for her - the same doesn't apply to many of the scumbags shown in this programme.

Oops, yep, made a bit of a miscalculation there - that's probably why I don't have rental property smile

Felt really sorry for the young mum in Hove on tonight's episode, and the nurse with 3 kids. Genuine cases that were victims of the system to some extent.
