I wonder if, because none of the regulars were there, that we might see them on Fridays episode showing their reaction to winning. (well deserved I might say)

You know they just get given effectively a pile of tapes to watch one night a week, they don't watch the shows live, don't you?

How do they manage to film them watching the same week as the shows are broadcast then?

might it just be possible the shows being watched provide the tapes early like they do to reviewers because it's good PR?...

there's always the semi finals, or they could just be good on turnaround, hell other programs like the chelsea bbc program do it in under 24 hours sometimes.

Yes there's tons of dress rehearsal and early heat footage available for Eurovision in the two weeks before the main contest that is exactly the same as the main contest, the Eurovision organisation even puts loads of it on youtube for the public to watch well ahead of the main show these days. The whole show is also recorded in its identical entirety from a final dress rehearsal on Friday night and kept ready to broadcast in case something goes wrong on Saturday. The gogglebox team will just have got the sofa people to watch a chunk of that stuff from one of the various earlier recordings.

There was one a few weeks ago where they watched the Grand National so they must have made extra effort to turn that around quickly but they probably can manage that as an occasional special effort.

I get what you mean, but they showed who won the Eurovision?

Big Brother manage to show what's happened less than 24 hours later.

I'm not so sure that everything they watch is provided to them on a tape, but I'm sure some is.

They quite often show them watching the news and other trivial things that wouldn't be recorded like party political broadcasts.

hehe

Or, I suspect it's the simpler answer: they just filmed them watching the live show.

I expect it is different for the different families. The posh couple do it all in one go from tapes, as they have already said that. Some of the other families probably do it over the course of a week, judging by the clothes changing and different people being in the room.

I guess for the Eurovision show, they did the filming for the posh couple on the Eurovision day, and showed them tapes of other stuff earlier on, or afterwards.

Not just that, there is no way the 2 black women could eat that much food if it was just filmed over 1 nightlaugh

The Asian lads are quickly becoming my favourite - there was some quality commentary from them on last weeks show.

We counted 9 (yes, nine) cartons of food on the table last week. The MSG manufacturers must be working overtime.

They have brilliant/dry sense of humour.

On Britain's Got Talent
"It's called Britain's Got Talent, not Britain's Got Talent and Emotional Issues."

On Embarrassing Bodies: Live From The Clinic
"When do you realize in life that you want to become a penis doctor?"

On Educating Joey Essex:
“The thing is, there’s stupid and then there’s TV stupid. And Joey Essex is TV stupid. And in that way he’s quite clever.”

On Mind the Gap - Evan Davis's programme about the separation between London and the rest of the UK:
"Who do you think's better looking people in the north or people in the south?"
"I think the further North you go the more bear-like women look."
