.....and I think the second episode is a Daimler Dart as it's called 'Start the Dart'.

Anybody watch this last night? I thought both episodes were great.

Enjoying them even more than Wheeler Dealers and there's none of the fake buying/selling and the owners all seem genuinely touched.

Really good series smile

I only watched the Daimler Dart episode due to the clash with WD - I’ll catch up with the MG (?) episode tonight.

Really like the show in general and it’s good to see the reactions of the owners when they see their refurbished pride and joy – the old fella with the Dart was really choked up when it had sunk in that his car was back and in a pretty good state, considering.

One thing that annoys me about the show is the “oh my god, we’ve got such a short deadline!!!” script that just about every bloody programme HAS to feature these days.

I am not fooled. I’m not an idiot/American who believes everything on TV to be real. I don’t need artificial drama on a sensible TV show featuring classic cars. So just pack it in, OK?

Could be worse though.... “it’s a disastwer, Mawio!”

Enjoyed the Dart episode last night, things dont change though, Tim is even more orange than ever and really is an irritating bell end. Must admit had a tear in my eye when they gave the old boy his car back...

I do agree on that. Would be a nice change to just have a 'done when it's done' attitude. Real life has too many deadlines as it is!

Was really good, watched both episodes and couldn't help thinking that the Daimler Dart family looked like they would've easily been able to afford to get the car done themselves ... far too much tweed.

As always, interesting cars.

Tonight:-

Cortina Conundrum.
When ex-mechanic George got lung disease, his dream of restoring his Ford Cortina GT ended. Can Tim and Fuzz surprise him by fixing up his cherished car?

Bloody love this series. Another great episode.

Cannot understand why Wheeler Dealers seems to get so much more attention, much prefer this.

How much actual mechanical ability does Tim have or is it Fuzz and Tim is taking instruction?

Nat Geo.

Like WD, Tim does the part sourcing and contracted processes, while Fuzz, the mechanicals. The non-car bits though are less irritating.

Didn't Tim's wife of his Lotus Esprit GT when he was on radio talking to a lady /his wife though he was chatting her up car sold for £1.... Ouch - lesson taught and think he's still with her.
