Correct me if I'm wrong, but in previous years haven't they already done a professional kitchen round by this stage of the competition?

I've got to say that holly was one hot potato in my opinion!

Although how some of them got to the semi's god know.

They felt like the best of a bad bunch. Cant see any winners from week 1

Cornflake tooth's lobster ravioli was utterly diabolical. Even if the pasta didn't look like it had been shat out by a leper onto the plate, it would still have been a duffer of a dish. Four pieces of ravioli and a bit of sauce, not exactly a stunning plate.
