Ping's starter was more like a main course. Too much going on in her main course for me.

Close between Ping and Jack but Ping should just take it IMO.

This year's competition has been brilliant.

I've loved the genuinely friendly interaction between the last 6 contestants, and particularly the final three.

I would have been happy for any one of the three to win it, and am chuffed for Ping - well done, Girl.

I thought it was great the way the two lads, after the result, showed happiness for Ping, instead of saying the usual, and expected, "I'm absolutely gutted".

All in all, a great few weeks of seriously enjoyable television.thumbupparty

I've had Dorset Blue Vinney ice cream... Try it before mocking it, nice stuff if done well.

I think what clinched it for Ping was that she had new dishes and flavours to bring to the table in a way that the guys didn't.

Really enjoyed this series.

Very high standard between Ping and Jack. Given that Jack is 21, I think it's him who has the brighter future if he goes into a professional kitchen, he can only get better and better. Did anyone else notice he had funny ears though?

I've worked for 20 years in a local Chinese takeaway (admittedly it is considered one of the best in the area), but that presentation by Ping fair took my breath away.

The Chinese I work with are fully aware that the stuff they sell is for British tastes, and has nothing to do with Chinese cuisine, but it's at the end of the day, just junk food. (We had someone come in last week with a Mars bar, asking us to batter and fry it for them - peasants). Even the average sit-down Chinese restaurant couldn't come up with her standard of food - it was like a fine-dining variation on Oriental traditional meals. Breathtaking. I was gobsmacked. My Chinese colleagues couldn't believe that someone could do that.

Very well done, young lady. You are never going to be out of work, that's for sure.
