It's a rare thing when John applauds a contestant - the power is with him! biggrin

He had a very good round, looks like one of the strongest contenders so far.

I think he must be the Boris of the catering world - bumbling along as if he knows not what's to be done, only to come up with something very much edible. Think he could bring some real excitement to the programme(or is he just being 'talked-up' for the ratings?)(I hope not).

I don't hold out much hope for that gump Joe making it through tonight's quarter final.

Correct! biggrin

I think the pasta boys should open a restaurant together - they both seem able to bring out the best of flavor in everything they cook.

He does look pretty good. That said, it could be the case he's a half decent horse running against a bunch of old nags - the rest of this lot look pretty st.

Any contestant saying "Hi guys" and/or "Enjoy" should be immediately disqualified.

And possibly eviscerated.

I'd have agreed with you at the invention-test stage but seems to have turned around a tad now, excepting the bold wink as CC07 states;

yes didn't they send 3 through last night? In which case the outcome here was obvious. I liked the look of that welsh curry/ fish dish but little else, especially the phallic cucumber/tomato side dish.
