It's a program called "For the Love of Cars" at prime time on a Sunday evening, it also needs to entertain. There's plenty of programs for beardy types who want to count rivets on Discovery +1 at 3am in the morning. laugh

You can have one that's been used on TV for only £3995 - http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C606200

Except that's just a white SD1 with stickers on.
That's why I posted it.

We'll see what the real one goes for later.
Did you notice in the other ads just how much V8 VDP's are going for? Heck, there's a good market out there.

It's a social history program, using a classic car as the crutch.

Am i the only one lobbing things at the tv when they were going on about being confused why it had two speedos. Calibrated one for a traffic car you mongs, especially as Ant was supposedly plod at one point. Apart from that a good watch.

Well, they've fitted a clutch release bearing! That's as in depth as the 'restoration' is going to get! wink

How come Ant didn't recognise the extra calibrated speedo, which was surely std fit in all police cars back in the day??

He's been restoring cars for twenty years, which suggest he was only plod a) when he was very young and b) not for that long.
Maybe his lack of observational skills ended his cop career? wink

I think they said it was the only manual one. Can you remember if the one you er...visited...was auto or manual?
