The time restraint is genuine. They were only told late that a second series would go ahead they then had to source cars. They sourced ours from an advert on EBay..its a long process to find what they want, some im sure are easier than others. They knew the Golf would be difficult because of the technicalities.
I for one am really grateful that they took our car and helped Walt I don't know about other car programmes but we spent a lot of time with this crew and they were a really great genuine bunch.
Their themes are about people who love cars, hence the emotion in a lot of episodes. This car has kept Walt focusing forward through some really harsh treatment for his cancer and Ant and the rest of the crew have been fantastic support.
Walt will be out in his car pretty soon and I'm happy that he's got this chance..thanks again for all your positive posts it helps a lot to read them

As this series has progressed, i find myself more and more "annoyed" by Glenister, but conversely, more and more impressed with Ant! He comes over as a proper enthusiast and knowledgeable, unlike Glenister who just looks like he's playing a part, rather than being totally genuine.....

Like when he just failed to understand where/how to park the tiny little car. I knew exactly what Ant meant when he jumped out, Glenister made it really hard work.

Have to say I'm enjoying tonights though, I have a real love of tiny cars and would have a garage (probably a large shed is all I'd need) full of them if funds allowed.

Murray's City car project has been on the go for several years now . mid 2000's I think I 1st saw this design . Has the project moved forward at all , or is it more about selling some of the concepts to larger manufacturers rather than actually launching the car itself ?

Think it was first shown in 2010, and he's partnered with Shell the last I read.

Think something's meant to be on the cards this year
