I deliver to the builders merchant up there and always take a quick peak at all the Fiats.

I liked the Alfetta GTV rallycar in shot behind the 500 in the auction,although the wheels looked wrong.

I fell asleep at the wheel of an Uno going through the tunnels of Imperia. Totally smashed the rear end off a red 650 estate. I managed to punt my head through the windscreen of the Uno and walk into the back of other Fiat, to make sure everyone else was okay.

I woke-up in hospital in Italy and took a taxi back to Monaco to explain why the skipper's Uno was halfway up a mountain. I still have the other red Uno today.

Losing the will to stick with this show. The Fiat 500 is a fascinating little car, how hard is it to fill an hour of airtime on the history and restoration of it? All this tangental stuff with Messerchmitts and Sinclair C5s smacks of desperation to fill the airtime.

I'm so glad your dad bought the car.... I only just watched the show and as the auction was at the 4/5,000 mark I said to my wife, "I wish I'd the money and had known about this weeks ago"
She turned to me and said, "So you could buy the car and give it to him?"

So chuffed that's what happened. Wishing you both well and many, many happy hours with the car.

I don't know how people can moan about the show. I think it's brilliant. I guess it's just a small group of people who will moan if you gave them £100 cash, wanting a bank transfer instead. Just go and watch something else?

I like to watch something that I've started. Just in the hope that there's a good episode. Sadly no. Last series was great but this is just so bad yet last night I still had to watch it.

Why do they bother with the personal touch? Surely the guy sold the car to them unrestored so surely he won't get any of the money from the auction? Or did he pay for their working hours and all the parts plus auction fees?

Really interesting little museum which I believe is near RAF Coningsby (it's for reasons like that I watch) I lived at Coningsby for 4 years and keep returning for friends and work yet never knew this was at the end of the runway!

I fell asleep through this episode. I don't think I missed much, and was put off straight away by possibly the worst 'tale of woe' filler I've ever seen in a TV program. I've lost my job and want to buy a ring. Boo hoo.

The last episode with the VW was very good, even from me, who hates VWs, and the Aston Martin episode was OK. The rest has been dire.

I callously refer to this as the "DIY SOS" touch - that used to be fixing stuff for general people, now there's always a terrible back-story. Not that I'm making light of these peoples issues, just that I'm watching stuff because I'm interested in what they do, not why they do it.

I haven't watched this one yet - I saw Ant jumping up and down in the back of the Fiat, then bhing about how bad it was when they got it back to the workshop, then the playing around in the museum was so irritating I figured I'd record it and watch the first half of the BAFTAs instead.

This series isn't very impressive overall. I fast-forwarded everything except the sections of the programme relating to the restoration of the car and it was all over in about fifteen minutes. I'm not really interested in the owner's personal life, or in hearing Gordon Murray bang on about his vanity project for the umpteenth time, or in a sub-Top Gear retelling of the history of the microcar.

Car SOS is similar. I don't care that Brian from Hull has chronic haemorrhoids that have stopped him working on his beloved Wolseley, I just want to see the car being worked on. Thank goodness for the facility to record and play back television.
