There's a white V6 that lives near me. Got a couple of photos with the wooden sides.

Will post when back to work on old lappie.

It was the only bit which wasn't rusty! ('Wella' btw)

'It's a workhorse you know'
'It rusts'

A good blaster will not touch the large area panels like the roof (or in this case the sides) as the heat generated will warp the metal like mad - they will go round the edges

I wonder if Ford paid for the work. It's a great Transit ad.

If you pulled the V4 out and stuck in a V6 you had to use the diesel front, everyone into racing was doing it.

Since when did the Alvis Saladin armoured car have a 37mm gun?

It bloody didn't, it had the short rifled 76mm gun capable of firing HESH. The same gun as fitted to the Scorpion tank.

Think this series is starting to run out of steam now, utility vehicles not so interesting for me, but have enjoyed the other programmes.

You'd think so, the number of times Ant kept calling it a car.

Interesting method of pulling out of junctions in that Saladin due to the limited visibility. Still, I guess being hit in the side by a Transit probably wouldn't have done much damage.

Better than expected but it's slowly turning into Car SOS.
