I wish they wouldn't show clips of the finished cars at the start and in the adverts, ruins a bit of the surprise!

I met Ant at the Goodwood revival on his advantage stand and he was a lovely chap, had a good chat with him smile

£38k! mmm ouch!
And they said the average prices was around £50k. So no profit to be made at all, but a huge loss to be had then.

All the free labour as usual will no doubt be the 'profit'.

I'd keep it auto, the thing's hardly going to set your hair on fire nowadays and would be used more as a cruise to the pub/shows.

Whats the odds that this Aston specialist who is booked up for months suddenly finds the time to recondition the engine.

THIS ^^^ x10!

They have an original car (or so they say), so why ruin it with later "upgrades"? It's never going to be a sports car as you say.

(these days, with the exception of some proper sports cars like 911s etc (a-la singer) it's ALL about the originality when you do a restoration isn't it? Have a look at the prices of mint, originals of anything, even the cars they did in the first series, like the Mini, the Landrover, all worth more in original factory spec with history)

All of this again and again. Changing spec is the sort of thing Mike Brewer or Mawio would do. I'll be interested to know why they get the high sale price they're obviously going to get.

How are they possibly going to recoup even their parts costs let alone the never-counted labour?

Apparently making it as un-original as possible will have people falling over themselves to bid it through the roof.
