The woman with the black A3, who parked 60 metres away from a defect in the yellow line and still expected to get off, (for a second time), on a technicality.
But why, oh why, is the break in the line still there? She got off on a technicality several months previous to the appeal they showed (if I recall correctly), how come the moment the adjudicator found in her favour in the first appeal, the highways department weren't down there re-painting the line to make sure it didn't happen again? OK, they lost that one through their own poor maintenance (looked as if someone had dug up and re-laid the tarmac but didn't repaint the line), but surely they ought to learn from it?

I haven't watched all of last nights yet, just caught a snippet of an appeal about a fine for parking in a public walkway in a car park "that isn't marked, we're just supposed to know about it". "Apart from the three-foot high yellow man painted on the floor", said the adjudicator. I suspect his appeal will be denied.

I said that last night as well. You either pay it or contest it, but don't ignore it.

But what about the bloke in the Nissan Juke (I think). He said he'd paid around £10k in parking fines !! What ?!
I've had one parking ticket in my life, and it was because of my own stupidity. I laughed when I saw the ticket on the car windscreen as what else can you do? I was bang to rights.

These days people treat them as something that doesnt matter.

And the woman with the clipboard. My God, was she jumped up or what? She clearly doesnt know the rules of her own "profession". Clamping the guys XC90 outside of his home (which I believe is illegal according to http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/wales/consumer_w/con... unless they did contact him, which considering that they only picked his car up while driving around suggests otherwise) and moreso, just turning up without giving notice first is against the rules.

Also, I wonder if they told the woman before that clip that they couldnt just come in there and then to remove items from the house to sell - very doubtful I suspect (illegal based on https://www.gov.uk/your-rights-bailiffs/what-you-c...

I think you need to be a special, hateful person to do that.

That woman who was a bailiff or something-what a total prick. The way she dealt with those people was disgraceful-she really thought she was a big deal with her tabard and clipboard. What an idiot, I hope her husband punches her in the mouth every morning
You do know that the chap she works with (the other bailiff) is her husband don't you?

Why are the police helping these bailiff scum? Are they on commission?
I think, that in this instance, the bailiffs are the good guys! Am I alone?
No. I think it's only when you are on the receiving end of the extreme selfishness of some individuals that you appreciate why traffic wardens and fining people might be the least worst option.

We used to lease some land for staff and visitor parking. It was regularly used by people "just nipping to the shops" for 3-4 hours, who obviously couldn't read the 6-foot sign saying "NO PARKING". Quite often staff or visitors would be blocked in because people had parked behind them. So we've contracted out the management to a Parking Company and given staff annual passes. Not a problem any more smile

I don't have a problem with the husband and wife team; just the idiots who, as I've previously said, ignore the initial ticket and let it escalate to the point that bailiffs are involved. Bailiffs are just doing a job to recoup money from stupid people; and no, I'm not a bailiff.

I've had 3. One I could not do anything about as I did not have a ticket. One I had displayed my ticket in the car but parking person failed to see it (I won that appeal) and another where the machine printed a blank ticket out (I got that one cancelled as well).

Indeed, I'm sure a bailiff can't waltz into your house and take stuff. First of all, who on earth do they think they are and secondly, it's against the law.

It's an odd programme in that I agree with half the people in it and find the other half too stupid for words that they deserve everything they get.

Driving instructor who had his Micra lifted... Thought a Baliff couldn't remove a trade tool? So how was car legally removed?

He was arrested for carrying a blade which probably negates the 'trade tool' option.

No that was after the car was seized, as he was taking his belongings out of the car, then he started waving the screwdrivers and knife about.

Where were the cops during all this? Having coffee and doughnuts?

I don't know if this made the national media, but, a couple of weeks ago, a man in Portsmouth got banned from driving for a year, for repeatedly misusing a blue badge!smile

Interesting show. I feel for different parties in this.
I liked the keeper of the carpark in Lyme Regis.

The driving student seemed a bh. Asking for money back for the test is one thing, but demanding everything back? And then instigating the stupid old teacher to reveal his screwdriver and knife?

It surprises me how many people expect the right to a parking space directly outside their own house when they don't have a private driveway or allocated parking space. As annoying as it may be that commuters going for the train clog up certain residential streets, it is after all a public road. If there are no parking restrictions I don't see the point of the fat lorry driver with binoculars harassing folk in the street.

Surely if having a private parking space is high on your must have list you would factor this in when looking for a house? Even if the public road outside the house seems quiet when the property was viewed, there isn't any guarantee it will stay like that over time.

In my experience 'activists' like that, generally tend to have 'issues'!
