Fellow PHer's

I'm searching for an old Jeremy Clarkson quote during a Top Gear TV review that went something like:

"See my Ferrari? It's got a flappy paddle gearbox just like that one Michael Schumacher drives so I can get down t'mill quicker"

It's an oldie - at least 5 years I reckon, but it's relevant to something I'm putting in a presentation and ideally I'd like to find the YouTube clip of that quote and embed the video.

My Google / YouTube foo is weak today. Any takers as to which series / episode / review it was from?

Virtual beers and man points to the winner...

"and its got an e-diff just like Michael Shoe-makker"

I think. Wasn't it a carpet warehouse rather than a mill?

Was a ferrari from memory.

HTH but suspect it won't.

If it helps I think it was the 360 Stradale he was on about.

Wanna say a Porsche was involved too, a white one? I also wanna say 'warehouse' not mill.

Think you're both right - definitely a Ferrari stuck in my mind and the carpet warehouse thing rings a bell.

Back to Google I go...

Im sure it was too.

Specifically the 599.

I cant search youtube at work but i have the TG review of the 599 GTB at home on my PS3 (sad) + the DVD special of him testing the 599 HGTE in Spain (getting sadder) + the DVD special of him driving the 599 GTO (getting silly now). I also have the two (long and short versions) of his Porsche 996 GT3 vs 360 CS review (im beyond help). Finally, i also have the complete version of his F430 review (do you think i like ferrari?).

This thread gives me a good reason to watch them when i get home and report back hehewink

We have a winner! clap

This is why I love PH sometimes. Thanks to everyone else for narrowing it down too.

Now the boring bit - I need to work out if I can edit the YT vid down to that quote and embed it into my powerpoint slide...

I remember the Vanquish looking stunning at the time, as in it looked very current and state of the art. I still think it looks great but hasn't aged as well as that Ferrari, which is an older design. I do properly love the 550/575 though.

Haha, nothing exciting. I'm putting something together about how our office in Leeds works and who our target client is - Yorkshire business owners. I'm intending to use the JC quote to set up my presentation and keep things light-hearted. I hate death by PowerPoint, but I've been told I have to use it. 9 slides so far - 7 of which just have pictures on. hehe
